How Many Hours Of Sleep Do You Get And Are You a Regular Sleeper?

I'm curious because sleep is such a vital part of our living and health,
but I met people with very different sleeping hours.
I know everyone is different, but I'm curiosu since one friend I know slept 7 hours in a week (not a day, a week) during the exam week, and felt perfectly fine, and his grades were excellent. I thought not sleeping just actually decreases your ability to perform well?
And a lot of people I know sleeps 6 hours a day, but they're always tired.
I wanted to see if it has anything to do with how you sleep regularly (and see how many people actually sleep regularly)
and how many of you feel tired.
(For example, a friend of mine can wake up at 6 am, and she's not tired at all. She gets up without a problem. She never feels sleep-deprived.
But another friend of mine, who also wakes up at 6 am, only wakes up because her roomate wakes her up. It takes her more than 10 minutes to get out of the bed, because she's so tired. If there is no one who wakes her up, then she can sleep till 3 PM. She always seem tired and sleepy.)

for the past few days i've been staying up til like 3 or 4 in the morning watching LOST.
it'll change once i finish season 4...maybe by then i'll sleep at 12...who knows

I'm can function well on 6 hours of sleep, but less than 4 and I'll be prone to falling asleep in class during a video or something.
For summer, I usually don't get tired until 3 AM and wake up at around 9 ish.
