So I've been reading everywhere that you should eat 6 meals a day or more.
Then, your metabolism will become faster.
Well, I'm going to try and start eating 6 times a day but how do you know what to eat.
Because I'm scared of eating too much and gaining weight.
Can someone please explain to me how it works and what food I should eat?
Thanks!
EDIT:
Hey i was wondering how can u eat 6 meals a day during school.
Is it okay to eat breakfast then have lunch (whenever u have it) and then come home and continue the 6 meals a day thing?
^Does it make sense?

Yep! That's what I do anyway. Just make sure you never eat until you're full. Keep yourself at a comfortable medium all day. ^^ For example, to split up breakfast I'll eat a bowl of cereal (according to the serving size on the box) at like 7 or 8 in the morning, then at like 10 I'll eat a granola bar and fruit, then a few hours later it's lunch time. I'll have a salad plus raw veggies at first, then a bit later I'll eat some sort of soy meat/meat substitute... and etc etc etc. A lot of the times I end up eating a bit more than just that but you get the idea. ^^

like a small bowl of pasta every two hours
or a piece of fruit
just not like a whole full meal
It conquers ALL.

But I didn't know whether to do 3 or 2 hours.
But for today I did every 2 hours so far.
So I woke up late and ate around
10am- which was cereal
11:30 am- Yogurt - 99% no fat
1pm - half of a ham sandwhich with wheat bread
3 pm- half of a chicken breast sandwhich with wheat bread, and some chips. (Gr...those chips.
and then, at 5 im gonna eat the other half of the chicken sandwhich.
Then, the rest of the day I'm working on.
Exercise: 40 laps in pool, more swimming, dancing and 8 min ab wrkout
Please tell me if I am doing it right.
I know there's a lot of bread but I don't really know what else to do, cuz I have to get more food.
But am I doing it right so far?

Some people don't like to hear the truth.
Those people need to quit fooling themselves.
Quit dreaming, get real.

better to eat earlier in the day to get your metabolism started. eat breakfast around 7am. take a light jog/swim in the morning [before or after breakfast, but to you but do get a half cup of juice or something befor eyou exercise to get some energy going].
last meal preferably 2~3 hours before you sleep.

breakfast was usually toast w/ peanut butter and eggs. with juice and a serving of fruit.
mid-breakfast was yogurt with a serving of nuts. maybe a breakfast bar if i needed some more calories.
lunch was salad w/ sandwich. usually a lean meat like turkey or roast beef. salad with splash of olive oil and vinaigrette with lots of different veggies.
mid-day lunch were a couple tacos [chicken breast meat] with onion/cilantro/salsa OR maybe some kind of fruit shake mixed with protein powder.
dinner korean food. rice [half bowl], some kind of meat [pork, galbi, etc] with all the side dishes
last meal depends on whether i went to the gym or not.
if i go gym, i had a protein shake afterwards and then a light tofu salad with soy-based dressing [made from scratch]
if i didnt go to the gym, i'd whip up a snack like tuna salad with whole grain crackers, or have a serving of string cheese and veggies
exercise, i did weight training 3 days a week [every other day] and cardio on the non-weight-training days. mostly running, sometimes swimming. mostly done at night since i work in the mornings.
i havent done so well lately, but from last november to this july, i lost about 15lbs overall. my body fat % went from 26%~17%. [which means i probably lost a whole lot more fat lbs than the 15 i lost overall.]
breakfast before school. [high carb]
nutrition/break after 1st period. [some schools do it after 2nd] [high~medium carb]
lunch period [medium carb]
after school [medium carb]
dinner [low carb]
late dinner [low~no carb]
tuna salad mix, string cheese, unsalted nuts, granola bars, etc are good alternatives to fruits.

depends on when I wake up if I wake up at 7am I might eat 5 meals a day. If I wake up at 12pm then I might only eat 3 meals a day. I eat 1 meal every 3-4 hours. It helps if you don't label it as brunch, lunch, dinner etc... b/c I tend to replace meals when I labeled my meals.
When I wake up: a cup of water then 15-30mins later a serving of fruit then a serving of Special K cereal. (my only constant meal
3-4 hours later: cup of water, fruit, then (depending on how hungry I am and what time of day it is) : pb&j sandwich / a little rice(like at the most 4-5 TBS) with alot more side dishes / a sandwich w/ turkey tomato and lettuce / soup / salad / etc... basically I mix it up alot.
Water and fruit before each meal helps me from overeating the bad stuff. I don't drink juice or soda. But I do drink green tea.
I do a little walking and jogging 2-3 times a week

2-3PM: some fruit/veggie
5-6PM: fruit/veggie

i personally recommend these snacks that go between meals: apples, bananas, grapes, baby carrots, yogurt, juices, and popcorn =]
