I'm planning to buy an mp3 player but I don't know which brand to pick. Ipod is very popular but I heard from several people that Zen is better.

which brand has the best quality in your opinion?

No, I'm serious. iPods get a lot of third party support because so many people have one. Cases and speakers are everywhere for iPod, something you rarely see for other brands.

Mainly, many car stereos are iPod compatible. I basically don't listen to the radio anymore since I can have my iPod playing in the glove compartment.

I would go with iPods, Zunes, Sammy's P2, or some Creative.

I wouldn't buy from iTunes though.

i like the ipod because it's so simple to use.

buy the ipod... its ease of use is unmatched. going from playlist to artist to album is just so easy to do, and it doesnt hurt that the device itself looks sleek.

many like the zen because they hate using itunes to transfer... but cmon, itunes is basically a drag and drop operation...

Ipods are smexy, simple design, looks nice, I actually think the old video looks better than the classic.

but anyhoo, I think ipods are over rated, especially the add-ons and accessories, so expensive @.@

Itunes + Ipod = best combination to transfer and update. I've never had such an easier life.

And you don't have to do drag and drop. It's more Plug and Wait.

I have the ipod touch, i was gonna go for a zen but then my brother got a ipod touch and i thought it was cool so i got it too. I dont really see any problems with itunes because you can just check the little box that says manually update songs and videos so you dont have to keep the file on your computer, and it doesnt resync everything.

Also like someone above me said since ipod is so popular you can find 3rd party software and hardware much easier, not the case for other systems because they dont have the same exposure as the ipod.

but i can tell you that i LOVE my creative zen. i don't know how i would survive without it.

+ it looks really nice and is really easy to use,
from "artists" just push to the right and there's "songs"
so you don't have to like..push the middle button like 5 times to get to the menu and go down to "songs"

There are plenty of mp3 players that are a million times better than the ipod (eps. when it comes to sound quality & features). I use to own an ipod and I'm glad I sold it and got myself another mp3 player.

i agree with the first replier
having an ipod is convenient
there are ipod docks and cases plus many other accessories everywhere
they're easy to use, too
its basically drag and drop with itunes
or if you synch it, just plug it in and it does everything for you
but i must say, creative's sound quality is better than ipods.
and they're not bad looking either.
but if sound quality isn't a problem then i'd go with ipod
