Why does everybody say that Jang Woo Hyuk is the ultimate dance machine?

Yes, he is an absolutely fantastic popper and I've never seen anybody do it cleaner but

1) It makes me sad when I see him dancing anything else (have you seen his krumping?)
2) He rehashes the same moves for his choreography and freestyling. This gives me the impression of lack of creativity/ versatility.

So if people could point me to perfs or give arguments why he is "the ultimate dance machine" that would be really great.

It makes me frustrated that I can't see it and I feel like an idiot since it seems to be the consensus.

Just watch him lead H.O.T. in their dances and you'll see he's more than just a popper. His technique is just too good regardless of what dance type he's doing.

^yes, i agree. i think you SHOULD watch the H.O.T music videos. he's the ONLY one with the moves. PLUS he coreographed some of the dances for H.O.T and many other artists these days. he owns a dance studio that is going pretty well also. [x

Back in the H.O.T. days, it was Hee Jun and Woo Hyuk who did the choreography.. During JTL days, it was Woo Hyuk who did the choreography... If you seen him dance in H.O.T. and JTL, you would have realized he dances alot of different styles. Just watch him on Love Letter, he does this fun dance too... If he really wasn't great in dancing, you wouldn't be seeing him on the shows and respected by ppl like Minwoo and Kyun Jun Yup (from CLON)... I really feel that this thread might end up a bashing thread... Cuz there are a lot of H.O.T. fans out there who still think Woo Hyuk is the best... If you don't know why, just go search for his clips on Yahoo Korea... You'll see him dancing alot of different styles.

Look at all his old clips from H.O.T. and jtL. Heck, he even mastered some difficult things in Elementary school.

Nowadays, he doesn't show all of his best because he simply doesn't need to. He's passed the "showing off" stage and now he's just dancing for fun, regardless of what people see of him. Most people in Korea already saw his dancing from the older days.

^ i agree with the above statement hehe, and its awesome he actually choreographed so many dances when even today most singers still don't do that...his new stuff might not be all that people expect, but he really doesn't need to prove himself anymore

well since most ppl already said it up there ^, i don't have much else to add.

- past TEN years.. if you can keep such an ASTONISHING title for that long, you are God.
- woohyuk's range of dance styles is waaay more diverse than most other artists
- always learning as he never thinks he's gained the knowledge of everything.. even tho some dance gurus have told him that there is nothing else to teach him
- he's precise.. playful.. smooth.. rough.. gentle.. powerful.. boneless.. sharp.. light.. heavy.. serious.. funny..

just about anything you can think of, woohyuk has done.

Are there any particular perfs, MVs, clips that are good showcases of his dancing and that I should look for? Stuff like his dance solo on Music Core?

- His Do Or Die solo perf from H.O.T.'s 1999 concert.
- That Music Core perf.
- His dancing for Oh Seung Eun on Xman episode 107 - 11/05/2005.

But there is a clip that is highly recommended - A fanmade video named Dancing Spirit. It practically showed lots of his good moves from H.O.T. days to JTL days. You can see he's done more than one style.

He choreographed many songs and that's really something, because it takes much creativity and skills to make up such difficult routines.
