For the past few years I've been using Herbal Essances and occcasionally Garnier Fructis as my regular shamppo. I've recently noticed that my hair has become really dry as well as my scalp. My hair is becoming thin and my hair seems to fall out more than before. A few days ago i found out that Herbal Essances dries out the hair.

So i want to switch the shampoo i'm using but i don't know which does not dry the hair because i've been using the same one for a while now. The shampoos i have at home dry my scalp so much that i've been applying conditioner on my scalp, which i heard you shouldn't do but it's just so dry. Can anyone suggest a shampoo that doesn't dry the hair and scalp and also moisturizes too?

I think Head and Shoulders is effective in not drying up the scalp, I used it once before and it's ok.

I've used Head and Shoulders once only. The choices i'm thinking are H&S or sunsilk hydra tlc however i'm not sure they'll work. Anyone else have any suggestions?

I've been using Sunsilk&Creamsilk for the past years, and my hair's fine ^^'
It was super dry before when I used Pantene and Garnier Fructis.
I think Dove helped my hair too since I bought the moisture one.

hmm i tend to mix brands for shampoo and conditioners. sometimes i use garnier fructis sleek and shine shampoo and then sunsilk's anti-poof conditioner (cuz i dont really like my natural volumized and wavy hair), currently im using head & shoulders ..intensive treatment i think it was? its like orange but its the only one ive tried so far that doesnt like make my scalp sting (for some weird reason) and then i use sunsilk straight to perfection conditioner. and then occasionally i will use matching brands of shampoo and conditioner haha

BUT my hair is still dry cuz i straight permed it two or three times and bleached like the bottom/back of my hair. x(
i might straight perm my hair again tho, cuz it was softer than now..and also more sleek, less volumized and most importantly straight ! i know a lot of ppl use gatsby and other hair products to make their hair BIG, but my hair is naturally big after a blowdry or airdry it..and it looks bad. hahah s
joanneeee : )

Most shampoos & conditioners that you can buy at a grocery store, drugstore, etc are bad for you. They all have the same thing in but label it differently.

Your best shot is to buy PROFESSIONAL hair care products. They are all lab tested, etc.

As for specific reccomendation...

Dry Scalp: Aveda Scalp Benefits: Balancing shampoo. It normalizes the oil glands in your scalp.
Dry hair: Aveda Dry Remedy: Conditioner: Puts moisture back into your hair.
