Hey guys. My friend is a current 2nd year student in med school at my school. He had to transport his vehicle from L.A. to Indiana. He used an auto transport company to get his vehicle from California to Indiana. He initially paid them $870.35 with his credit card.

Little did he know that they were going to give him the runarounds, not answer his voicemails, delay his vehicle delivery without notifying him, have the truck driver threaten to kill my friend, and cancel my friend's credit card payment and demand cash on delivery, or he will not see his vehicle again.

So he did get his vehicle back, but from the hard way. Although he followed the company's command of giving them a cashier's check, they still did not give my friend his Bill of Laden paperwork. He needs that for his financial aid office documentation of using money.

It's been a year, and they still haven't sent him his Bill of Laden, or even a copy of it.

He's even contacted Better Business Bureau last year, and BBB sent this company a complaint. The company never bothered to even respond.

So he has sent a complaint to the Arizona Atty General's office against this auto transport company.

They go by various names such as (*name taken out due to Google search*).

The auto company has received the complaint from the AZ atty gen's office my friend sent in about three weeks ago. That made them angry.

So they are planning on suing my friend for defamation and slander from his blog (the two links I posted in the beginning of this post).

Can they do that? I think that's so mean of them to give my friend a hard time, when in fact, those information about the company being mean, evil and stealers is true.

I mean come on. My friend is a med school student, has a current $150,000 debt, is renting an apartment, and nothing to offer.

There are also other blogs out there that trash this auto transport company. So it's not like my friend is the only guy who had big problems with this auto transport company.

I think my friend should sue this auto transport company for the inconvenience of him having to rent a car and UHaul truck for lying about the delivery date and not notifying him of the delays in delivery.

What do you guys think? The people at this auto moving company sound like guys from hell.

I have complained about them to the Ariz atty general's office because they didn't give me my bill of laden paperwork.

I have also recently filed a complaint with the FMCSA. I don't know if this company got this complaint yet. But I am sure they will plan to sue me. What options are there?

Not sure what to tell you but hope everything works out..

if anything, i'd go get a lawyer and tell them everything and see what options are available.. it'll cost money and I know moneys a biggie now days for college students etc. but I think it'll be worth it. anyhows good luck with the car transport company thing and best wishes for med school.

I was recently debating on whether or not to ship my car back west and did alot of research on different transportation companies. Just out of curiosity, did you friend also research, or did he just do a quick search through the phonebook or something?

That's me who was victimized by this crooked auto transport company. My friend is GoldBond who posted the thread about my concerns, as well as in other forums.

Don't do business with a plus auto shippers. They also go by the name of a plus auto movers and AAA Anyhwere auto transport.

You can search the internet for other blogs of other consumers who were cheated and mistreated by this auto transport company.

Please do an extensive research before you choose an auto transport company. You don't want to end up like how I did with these crooks.
