Windows Movie Maker Not Working! .//<

I have no clue whats up with my movie maker. I bought my computer in early november 2007, my windows movie maker was working perfectly until January it started freezing anytime i imported videos it starded freezing on me then i would have to restart my computer. Even when i compile it into a video it freezes as well. If anyone can suggest anything that would be great! ^^

windows movie maker is like that.
always freezing and has alot of bugs. well. for me atleast. i think most other people complain the same.

I think you should consider upgrading your memory and videocard.

It does happen to a lot of people. I have had my laptop since 2006, and since the end of last year, it will freeze when I try to import videos, or if I do stuff to the video. It happens every once in awhile these days, but even then, I use the program slowly (as in pressing something then wait awhile before pressing something else) in hope that it will not freeze.

As for any advices, if you are using it to make videos, my best advice is to get a free program where you can cut and combine clips. Then use a program that lets you add subtitles on. A lot of people has experienced the same issue with Window Movie Maker, and there hasn't been a way to solve it (yet)? Or you can always download the older versions and hope that it will work.

Yay! it works! XD thanks everyone who tried to help me! what i did was dowload the Windows Movie Maker 2.6 from www.downloads.com and everything started work well! it didn't even freeze XD sorry haha biggrin.gif
