I Need Help :)

please only answer if you're 100% sure!
i'm horrible with measuring and math and all that.

i'm making my boyfriend some cupcakes. smile.gif

Fresh Strawberry Cupcakes

1 3/4 c all-purpose flour
1 t baking soda
1 c sugar
1/2 c chopped walnuts
2 eggs
1/2 c vegetable oil
1/2 t almond or vanilla extract
1 pkg frozen sweet strawberries or 1 cup (10 oz) crushed fresh strawberries mixed with 3 T sugar

Mix together flour, baking soda, sugar and nuts in a bowl. In another bowl, beat together eggs, flavoring and oil until well blended. Add strawberries and beat at slow speed of mixer until berries are partially broken. Beat in flour mixture slowly until smooth, but pieces of berries are still visible. Pour batter into greased muffin tins, filling to half.

Bake at 350 deg F for 30 minutes, or until they test done. Or, bake in greased 9x5x3" loaf pan for at 350 deg F for 1 hour, or until done. Sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired.

Makes 24

i don't like messing with recipes. i tried making 1/2 of something and it came out not so good and i'm sure i measured and calculated everything correctly. i think the best thing to do is make those cupcakes give some to your bf and give the rest for your friends & family to try. honestly even though it says 24 servings .. it never really comes out to that much. sleep.gif

on a completely random note .. i kinda wanna try making a giant cupcake. like a HUGE one haha so more like a cupcake looking cake?

well first i guess i'd have to start off by finding a giant cupcake .. errr .. what do you call those things. the paper thingyes you put and then put in the cupcake batter? ... oooo i could try a coffee filter. hahaha. uggh sorry. sleep.gif

Williams-Sonoma actually has a cake mold that makes the shape of a cupcake.

Giant Cupcake Pan

But yeah. Just make the entire recipe and feed it to your friends/family. Even though it says it makes 24, it usually doesn't depending on how full you fill the cupcake liners. And depending on how big your heart molds are, you might make about 8-10 regular cupcakes.
