Ok today I disconnected my desktop from my modem and replaced it with my laptop. I'm just wondering, is there a reason why I'm downloading stuff significantly slower now (like at half speed)? And also, every few hours, i get disconnected. Like I have to unplug my modem from the outlet and replug it. Any solutions?

Have you tried restarting the modem?
Check if there are any LAN configs on your modem or laptop that can increase speed.
Maybe it's an ISP problem? Try connecting your desktop back is it fast or slow?

Where do I look for LAN configs? And also, I don't have my desktop ATM.. so..

I dont think you need to change those settings... usually a restart will get the new correct IP settings unless you set it to a manual IP

Ok guys, I just realized that the slow download only happens when downloading from megaupload. Other than that, it is normal.
