Problems Getting Cd's To Load On Computer

When I try to put in an installation CD or any kind of CD in my CD ROM, it will not load. I click My Computer and see the E: Drive appear, but when I click on it, it freezes or tells me that I need to put a CD in the drive. I tried going to Device Manager and uninstalled my CD drive, but it made it worse because the drive did not automatically install when the computer restarted. Please help me sad.gif Thanks!

maybe your cd drive is dead.

you cd drive is most likely dead.
luckily, cd drives are not too expensive these days.
