For internships, the main thing is that you want to show that you are there to learn and are willing to do anything.

if you are meeting them in person then i guess it will be a behavioral interview.
they will be asking you practical questions such as "what made you interested in this company" or "explain a time where you have recieved great service and why..." etc...
brief yourself in your job role that you are going for and read a bit about the company too that way you can amalgamate those bits of information with your answer and trust me, employers will be surprised and impressed.
being an intern that shows that you are very interested in this position and that you are able to be proactive and learn things on your own. being a student is is important to display and emphasize on wanting to learn more and gain more experience of course
it's not shoe shining it's being prepared. Proper dress code too. don't wear peep-toe shoes wear heels or nice flats. dress shirt and dress pants are always the safe way to go. look neat and tidy. and yes it is okay to be nervous recruiters aren't robots
good luck!

I think it depends on your major and the place you're applying for. Try doing some research on the place and see what they're about before deciding on your clothes. When you go there just be polite and answer all their question's and show you're enthusiastic about being there (but not a crazy tenniebopper). Good luck and tell us how it goes!

dress sharp. be honest. and have them get to know you. there's dozens of qualified applicants. unless someone is an ace, the one they know the best is the one they'll likely hire. so if you're an ace, no worries. if not, then make sure they really get to know you =)
