Yes, here's the part on cancellation
I bold the part that is relevant. I'm not requesting to move into a private greek house so I know I'm still allowed to petition. I just have to give a good enough reason for the approval and I'm at quite a lost.

Pacific's just being a pain. My friend in KY lived in Brookside for a few weeks before they accepted his off campus housing.
Another friend canceled her housing after her 1st semester... it can be done.
If you had junior standing, why not go to the UC's or Monagon?

Be urgent about it and give a good reason. Like financial reasons/hardships.

Just tell them that your parents decided to move where you're going to school and bought a house.

hey guys, thanks for the advice! i can't find someone to take my place because the contract is non-transferable.
However, I looked over my financial aid packet and realized I wasn't getting as much because some was taken out for summer school so I'm using that as my excuse. I basically have to be able to come up with $5000 on my own (can't ask parents because they have their own loans to worry about and they have to help my sister pay for college as well) if I live on-campus (natta if I live off campus) so I hope they will accept that as a good reason to cancel the contract. I'm scared though because we all know private schools will do what they can to take as much money from you as possible >< urgh! I wrote an appeal letter and my cousin is reading it over (he's helped his friends with two college appeals and both got into the college afterwards so i'm hoping it'll work for me as well) and than i'll send it off
i'll let you guys know how it goes if anyone is interested and again, thanks for all the help!
