I have a Samsung D520 and I don't like the text message tones that came with it. I researched a bit and my phone doesn't take mp3 or wma for a message tone. Ringtones are fine, but for the message tone, it needs to be an amr? or aac? file. I converted some of my ringtones, thinking, 'well, that wasn't hard,' and got an warning message that amr?/aac? files are voice quality. Not really understanding, I loaded it onto my phone and played the tone. It was really scratchy, just like if I had recorded a song using the phone's voice recoder and then played it back.
How do I get a message tone that's as clear as my ringtones, but in the correct format(s)?
Anyone know?
