I LOVE LAFAYETTE! He's definitely my favorite in the series so far. I'm waiting for more Eric though because he was my favorite from the books.

Is anyone else not enjoying the Sam/Tara hookup? I really can't stand it. I like Tara and I like Sam (when he's not all Sookie crazy) but I really don't like them together. He's supposed to be in love with Sookie and not hooking up with her best friend.

I just watched the first episode after reading this thread. I've seen movies with more than your normal amount of sex in them (not! porn) but I thought most a lot of the sex scenes have no point in them... And then there's their accents - I've never been to Louisiana and I'm not even sure what a Southern accent is supposed to sound like, but everyone's accents are all so different from each other when they're all supposed to live in the same town and it's weird. :x

Anyway, I'm off to download the next episode. Sookie and Bill are so hot together.

Well, we are talking about Vampires here. Vampires represent the human labido, so EVERY sex scene makes sense. But sex scenes only tend to bother those who aren't comfortable watching it on TV. Unfortunately for those people, it interferes with their liking of the show, which shouldn't be the case considering the fact that there are so much pros to this series.

So I read the books and I know about Renee but I'm loving the Cajun accent. I'm gonna miss the funeral home guy's assistant too. He was kinda cute. Lafayette's such a schmoozer.
