i'm writing about how asians are played as nerdy comedic side kicks (such as in twenty-one and get smart)
and about how in twenty-one there isnt enough asians on the MIT blackjack team..
because the character that plays the main role is white... but based on the true story he was suppose to be asian. his name is Jeff Ma
but they made the characters of the white race for more viewers
and on the real MIT blackjack team there was suppose to be more asian for a reason

only recently have they decided to give asian americans larger roles in movies
even in dragonball goku is not-asian (a fact I've overcome and accepted), but most of the cast is asian anyway :]
asians are also seen as all martial arts and whatnot =___="
thanks jackie =___="

Also; Asian chicks are mostly hot. All the time. Because they always have a really tiny waist. They find the drop-dead-bombshell victim-of-plastic-surgery ones to use, alot of the time...
But they guys...not much. Most of the time they are dorks or the sidekick that can kick the hero's ass and just kick peoples' butts all over the floor to help the main person get to where they want to be.

But Lucy Liu got paid really little compared to Cameran Diaz and Drew Barrymore in Charlie's Angels.
But then Cameran Diaz and Drew Barrymore are more well know.

hey Alice ^^;
the only complaint I've heard about Aaron Yoo's character in the movie is that he's a 'stereotypical nerd'. -.- I didn't know the real story, though--only that it's based on one. =.= Wth at changing the story so there are more 'white' actors-- certain things are 'open'--anyone, no matter what his or her ethnic backround--could play the part. That's -______-
as for Asian Americans in Hollyweird, there are a lot more actors and ROLES than people realize--it's not all martial arts (although some actors do use their skills in certain parts--like Dustin Nguyen and Will Yun Lee--both of them have played cops/detectives and other things)--but the parts they've done are really diverse. Sometimes actors do play the main comedic roles, like Jon Cho...not just in Harold and Kumar, but in the series he was in a few years ago.
I remember someone complaining because the villain in Electra was Asian (Will Yun Lee played him) but guess what--that's what he was in the comic book--------but they also seem to ignore that his bad buddies were also of other ethnic backrounds.
Leonardo Nam was also in Sisterhood 1--and how many Asian people do you know like his character in The Perfect Score--definitely not a stereotypical role for an Asian.
Aaron Yoo hasn't done many huge roles--yet--but he's still just starting out. He's also done stage work, and other things. I don't know how big a role he played in Disturbia, because I haven't seen it yet.

but to many people, we are just short-geeky-accident prone-martial arts doing-doctor being-plain looking-anime crazy-small eyed-"c" word calling-yellow people.
I don't let it get to me even if it's shown in the media. Sooner or later, people are going to notice us as more than a minority like they been doing for other ethnicity
PS" And there was an asian chick in a photo spread in the September cosmo girl and she was pretty cute.
