I have a very hard time saying thank-you for some reason, when I do it doesn't sound like I'm thankful so it makes it hard for me. Is anyone else like this?

It depends on the situation. Can you give an example where it's difficult for you to say it?

Honestly, even when I started listening to Jpop/Kpop I was still offended when I was called Asian. I really didn't know anything. But after I actually GOOGLED it, I started to believe it o_o. And I realized that Asian culture is really beautiful, haha.

Well when someone buys me something I say thank-you but it doesn't sound like I am and other times people tell me to say it which makes me build up pressure, that makes me not wanna say it.

Presents and compliments, i don't have a problem being thankful for. If i'm struggling with something perhaps in a work/college related sense and someone comes over to help, i have a hard time saying thank you, i suppose because i don't particularly like to admit to myself i couldn't complete the task on my own.

I used to have a hard time, because someone pointed out that I don't say them very often. So I said "thank you", but it didn't feel like I meant it. After a while, the strange feeling passed, but it was uncomfortable until then. Saying "thanks" is more casual and less awkward-feeling for me.

Oh I see. Well how do u feel like when people give you presents that you really wanted but didn't expect them to buy it for you? like surprise gifts.

I get what you're saying with the pressure. It reminds me of when people tell me about their religion, where it seems forced onto them rather than having their own deep faith and choice in choosing that religion.

I sometimes do have a hard time saying thank you after someone had done something for me.
I say "sometimes" because, sometimes I forced myself to say thank you and theres sometimes where I just sit/stand there stunned smiling and I really want to say thank you to that person, but the word just won't come out of my mouth. That's why when I was a little, my mom used to hit me a lot because I never say thank you after an elder gave me something. sweatingbullets.gif

Not really anymore.. I always push myself to say "thank you" so now it feels like I say it too much to a person.

i don't really have a hard time saying it, and i say it quite often, i just tend to say it alot, which over time, to me... seems to much.
but i usually go with thank you and thanx here and there. kinda depends on the situation as well.

I have an easy time saying it over little things that don't really need a thank you, but if I'm saying it over something big, for some reason I get awkward about it. Don't know why.

i could say it to errybody, i guess when i don't get a thank you for doing something nice i find it rude.
so other people deserve the same when they do something nice for me.
w/e, if anything i find it harder to say "sorry"

Yeah same here.
Well I guess for me it's because my family has never been that close so we don't share our inner thoughts, feelings, and stuff like that to each other.
It's like how we don't hug each other or say "i love you mum/dad".

I find it harder to "sorry" though.

i say it as long as someone does something for me.
even if it means a stranger moving out of the way to let me walk. =/
i find it quite rude when people dont say it when they're supposed to

Yesss. I used to almost never say "Thank you."
I was thankful, but I felt awkward/shy saying it for some weird reason.
Now I almost always say it if I want/need to.
I think I started saying it more & more when I actually heard a few people [my mom especially] saying that I wasn't thankful & it hurt/annoyed them..
