So I have used mirco SDs before and they worked fine. But recently I bought a new 4 GB one and I put it in the reader, but it couldn't read it.
Is my card reader way too old? I bought it like three years ago.

4gb = SDHC, or.. most likely your reader doesn't read SDHC and only SD
i don't think phones support those yet? or at least most phones?

^ my LG Dare supports up to 8 gbs.

its HC ,SDHC (High Cap.) If your reader doesn't support SDHC reading, you will need to get a SDHC reader

I think your phone doesn't support 4 GB micro SD cards. I have a Samsung F250 and the highest GB it could take is 2.

I bought one from the internet. Hopefully it will work. I just found my Micro SD from three years ago when I purchased it with the reader. Its only 512 mb. haha
In those days even half a gig cost as much as what four gigs are about today. Actually maybe even more, since I got my 4 gb at $20.
