I went to LensCrafters yesterday to get an eye exam, new glasses and contacts because my frames broke. After the eye exam, the doctor took me to a room to put in my contacts. It was my first time and I was panicking I was so terrified! It took me 2 hours to complete the practice [putting it in, taking it out and putting it back in again]. The people working there were awfully nice and helpful. They encouraged me and gave me a step by step process while I was poking my eye. But I knew they were tired of me sitting there lol. And after two full hours on crying and wiping my nose, I'm 50% comfortable with putting contacts in my eyes.

So I am just wondering, how long did it take you to put your first pair contacts in?

It took me about 35-45 minutes to put one contact in one eye. Taking them out wasn't so hard. My second try of putting them back in was less than 2 minutes

I think it took me like 5 minutes. I had a harder time getting them out than putting them in.

Omg! It took me forever too! I think it took me like 30 mins total, 15 mins for each eye. I eventually got used to it, but it was a pain in the butt since I needed so much time to put them in that I was almost always late to class.

Now, it takes me like 5 seconds!

15 - 30 minutes. I can't remember, but I was late to my piano lesson LOL
Now it takes me like 2 seconds. My friend was amazed when he watched me put them in.

But once I fell asleep after an all-nighter at some event at a school and I forgot to take my contacts out. D; It was so scary cos I thought my contacts were stuck. T_T but after 10 minutes of eye drops I was finally able to take them out. Lol just a heads up, never let your eyes dry up while wearing contacts eek

it took me freakin 1 hr to put them in! i almost gave up and begged the people to let me leave and told them i'll practice at home and they were like no lmao

and it takes me like less then 30 seconds to put them both in now (:

Now it takes me like 15 seconds to get both of them in. Hahah.

IT TOOK ME FOREVER. It seriously took me an hour per eye. The woman who was teaching me said i was slow >( how mean! i'm paying her to teach me and that's all she has to say? no encouragement?

For me the doctors only gave my 15 min. to try to put them in.
When I couldn't they made me leave without my contacts
and told me to come back and try again.
I came back a year later because my moms friends little kid
decided it'd be fun to scratch my eye.
(ahaha my mom was mean she just laughed)
So it took a while before I wanted to try touching my eyes again.
This time when I came it took 10 min. for each eye,
the doctors probably would have made me leave again
if I didn't already have one in.

a few seconds at the most. it was really simple & easy for me.

ahaha it only took me a few seconds but they made me do it 3 times.
in and out.. it's harder to get them out. and it's real hard if you have long nails.
now i'm like a pro it seems like just a regular must and takes no time.

i remember trying over and over!! the contact kept coming out cuz i would start blinking like crazy ^^;; it was so frustrating!!~ it seemed like a long time but it was like mayb 10-15 min? and i was super scared taking the contacts out the first time =P

It took me quite a bit. I still have the same problem with putting lenses on. My left eye goes smoothly, first try and it's in. Now my right eye takes a few tries usually...I don't know if it's because I'm left handed so left side goes in easier?

I'm still pretty new to lenses so I'm sure I'll get better with my right eye as time progresses.

erm,
my first pair of contacts,

I'd say it took me around 15-30 minutes to put them in.
I was so nerveous that after 10 minutes I needed to go to the bathroom REAL badly,
but for some reason I was to shy to ask them to let me go and I was determent to put them in

God, I nearly started crying out of frustration.


thank God, it takes me only 5 seconds now.

It took me like 30 minutes per eye to get em in.

But don't worry, you get used it. About 1.5 weeks later, I can put them in in less than 30 seconds. Taking them out is a lot easier as well (<10 seconds).
