Added told amount of powder into blender
Added told amount of COLD water into blender
Thought it would taste plain so added a few ML of strawberry Yogurt
Blended for a minute
Drank and tasted awful.
I probably missed a few things and just wasted about a cup of powder
draining it down the sink.. i did manage to drink like half of it but it felt like if i drank the rest i'd throw up.
so yeah can anyone who has had experiences like this help me out? thanks a bunch

If you still want to use that powder because you don't want to waste it, you can blend it with bananas because the flavor of the banana is usually the strongest.

1 scoop vanilla protein powder (im guessing whey)
1/2 banana
1/2 cup milk
1 strawberry yogurt (i use Dannon All Natural Strawberry)

i also think that it tastes plain because it doesn't have the additives, artificial flavors, and natural flavors which are bad for you and some contain msg. But then again make sure when you read labels that it doesn't contain those since some of them contain aspartame.
anywho, yeah bananas are really good especially berries as well. Experiment with them and it'll be worth it =).

the powder should have come with a scooper. you might have to dig deep, mine's scooper was way on the bottom. So yea, 1 scoop of that scooper

and axe_pheonix, he thinks that you added a vanilla extract to it to make it more flavorful. he may not have gotten a vanilla flavored whey protein(if he even got whey protein that is)

Not all supplement companies are created equal, I did note in a thread concerning gaining or losing weight about protein shakes and did recommend better tasting companies that also guarantee a high % quality of protein. Blenders are for adding fruits ~ otherwise your better off using a shaker cup. 8 oz of water 1-2 scoops or milk ~ shake shake shake shake shake, chug!
If it is purely about taste, I go with BSN especially their moccachino... since I never get starbucks because its too fattening that is my only rich tasting healthy coffee choice. Other fine companies are Biotest and ON. Though I favor Biotest the most. I have tried several other brands and other then that if I want cookies and creme I'll get muscle milk.
If you have ever had like powdered or syrup quik, chocolate, or strawberry with milk. It is basically the same thing just not as sugary or rich ~ The foam is because of the blender speed I believe, you may want to use something lower if your going to use a blender at all. Though if you use a blender why not toss in some fruits and vegetables.
Shaker cup all the way ~ 30 seconds to make ~ 30 seconds to chug ~ 30 seconds to rinse!
If you bought your protein at walmart, then you have to expect that it'll be tough to swallow. Similar to if you paid me to make you a plate of grilled chicken and steamed vegetables versus going to a cafeteria @ school and asking them to do the same. It wouldn't be the same. Obviously mine would taste 10 trillion times better.

The blender speed + the fact its crap hehe. Yah I figured it was from Walmart or something like that.. Yah if you have no time you have no time ~ but it isn't because its a protein shake as much as its bottom of the bucket stuff. Whey is whey, but if you look at the walmart stuff they tend to throw in a bunch of extra stuff that isnt necessary or great... they try to make it look cool with the plastic packaging...
Nah different companies have different purity levels and their recipe for their powder varies. Muscletech and Cytosports are 2 companies that like to stick a lot of extra stuff vitamins etc into their protein. The Walmart brands they try to emulate that but its kind of like the purity is questionable and how they make it is questionable.. but its USEABLE. Other then if you can handle the rancid taste all the power to you.
GNC is a ripoff ~ but if you have no other option go for it. There are a number of websites that sell for much cheaper ~ Better quality, much better pricing, and better TASTING haha.

I use ON 100% Whey Double Chocolate. It tastes pretty good. If you are really going for taste buy a protein blend like BSN Syntha-6 or ON Nitrocore24.

Whey protein affect alot, however if you add only 1/4 of a cup it won't affect the taste that much
I use soy protein instead of whey even though whey has more calories and are great for working out.
Add one cup of banana, Whey protein, 2 cup of milk, 1 scoop of vanilla yogurt or icecream
Blend it. it's one of our popular protein shake
