Hey i shower in the morning when I wake up, and then i style my hair with hair wax. My question is, do you guys wash your hair twice a day, to rid of the hair products before you sleep? is it bad to wash your hair too frequently? or is it worse to sleep with hair product (wax) in your hair. Not sure if this question has been answered, I'm still new to the forums, but thx in advance =]

it's worse to sleep with products on your hair. it'll stick to your pillow then for all you know
when your face touches the pillow .. acne! well, that's what i think
it's fine if you wash your hair as long as you don't shampoo it
but for me .. I wash it with shampoo anyways

Once a day is enough for me. Since it's still summer vacation for me, I've been washing my hair less frequently; every other day or every 2 days. I'm at home most of the time, so no worries.
I think sleeping with hair product is worse than washing your hair twice a day though.

sleeping with your hair products, but both ways is worse since you have to wash your hair twice a day.
not to mention all the heat being added, but having hair products on your hair is blocking all the oil coming out from your hair.
try to deep condition your hair at least twice a week.

so just rinsing my hair before i sleep, is better than shampooing it, and leaving the hair products in? i think i read somewhere that it's bad to rinse your hair, but not apply shampoo? correct me if i'm wrong..thx!

I usually take a shower in the evening once I get home. Well, I think that you should shampoo your hair before you sleep, since there are some leftover products that doesn't really get rinsed out if you use water alone.
I'm currently semi hiatus at the moment due to school.

Don't use your normal shampoo, as most shampoos are detergent based and much too strong for your hair. Doing so will strip your hair of its moisture.
Try mixing one part of shampoo and one part of water, and use that everyday if you insist on shampooing everyday.
Don't forget conditioner! (:
Oh, and deep condition once a week.
Yes, sleeping with styling products on your hair is bad. It's bad enough using them during the day, you don't need them while you sleep. Try not to put so much stress on your hair and you'll see improvement in its health quickly!
