Back in the early 90s, Seo Taiji ("Nan Arayo") was #1 on the Gayo Top 10 for a very long time until a male star (not a group) ended his reign. I remember that he'd come onto the stage dancing with an entourage of back-up dancers, and his main dance move was lifting his knees and lowering his fists at the same time, like at 2:40 in this Hip Hop Abs clip on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XGb2MCWIB7o . I believe at the height of his career, he admitted to a drug abuse problem, though I could be wrong about that.

Does anyone know who I'm talking about?

I'm not sure if this is in the right section. It might get closed.
But what about Yoo Seung Jun? That's the only male solo artist I can think of from the 90s.

i can only think of yoo seung jun as well, cept he didnt admit to drugs, he was sent out of korea because he avoided conscription =SS but yeah i think clee is right?

His name is HyunJinYoung..
and his "흐린 기억속의 그대" song was so popular!
ehh? right? Him right?
haha! I remembered because Minwoo resings the song at his concerts and he does the dance also..
then I looked HyunJinYoung up and saw that it was an old 90's song.
