Do you hang out with all kinds of asians, or just your own ethnicity.



I hang out with pretty much just koreans. I used to have alot of japanese friends
but i've kindof drifted away from them over the past few months, and now
i've found i'm hanging out with almost exclusively koreans.
but i'm moving to california soon, and my friend that lives there told me
that all the asians mix together there, it's not like koreans then japanese,
then chinese, then vietnamese or whatever its just like all asians together.
So I wanted to see what the kind people of soompi did.
Do you hang out with just you're ethnicty, or all kinds of asians?

2/3 of my besties are white, and i'm korean.
i guess it's mostly because i live in a predominantly white/mexican neighborhood with little asian population.
however i've found it easier to bond with koreans cuz i have more similarities.
but still, i don't have a prejudice against particular race.

I'll hang out with anyone, but a lot of my friends are in orchestra (which means they're pretty much all asian...). We all ended up being Chinese, but I'm friends with a few Koreans too. I don't know any Japanese, and there aren't any Vietnamese in my orchestra...

At school it's all European/white people.

Then outside of school it's mainly Viets and possibly Chinese.

I don't think it has anything to do with race though.

But as for my Asian friends, they're basically all Korean people... it seems like lots of the Chinese people at my school are really exclusive about their friends or something or are too shy to talk, ahaha...

for some reason I tend to hang out with more people that are my ethnicity, but I don't prefer it.
I rather have a range of friends because it feels better that way, lol. Don't know if that makes sense..

My closest friends are all asians. One chinese and one vietnamese and one cambodian. but I'll hang out with any ethnicity.

i hang out with a mix of asians, blacks,and whites. my closest friend is the same ethnicity as me but my other close friend is black race/ethnicity doesnt really matter to me a friend is a friend.
