i'm a first degree black belt in tae kwon do, and i basically quit about 4 months ago, cuz i thought football would get in the way.
and, i'm a freshmen, and first year of football, and i basically lost a LOT of flexibility, balance, and endurance during the 4 months.
so i was wondering, if i joined tae kwon do again, AFTER hellweek, if i can possibly in better shape?
and if it isnt tooooo much for me.
i'm 5'11 at 200 lbs, so i'm full of energy.
so...after school i have practice which i'm thinking will end at 4-5
and tae kwon do is at 6:30-7:15, but wen i think about it, i have less time to study and do hw....
i really dont no.
i put it in this section just to see if it's mentally and physically safe for me to do it.

provided you rest and eat properly, i don't see why not.

yeah if your full of energy then i say go for it, nothing better than excercising and being fit but if your doing like 3-4hours of practice training a day M-F im pretty sure your body will burn out and you wont be able to keep up...eventually. And ya you will be strapped for time, after all that you'll probably want to go out/crash early/eat. If you mean freshmen of highschool it wouldnt be bad for the first 2 years until senior year, but hey what girl doesnt like a fit atheletic guy

you can do both. its not bad as long as you eat plenty and don't lose sleep.
i did the same thing freshman and sophomore year and i was fine. then junior year i did swimming too.
and as far as losing your flexibility and endurance, i stopped going to tkd and just focused on hitting the gym for about a year to pack some muscle and when i came back i was still as flexible but my endurance wasn't as great but still good. no cardio you can do at the gym can compare to tkd.
doing football and tkd will get you in greater shape and awesome endurance.
what postion do you play?

of course. high school is only going to get tough.
plus, you can put that in your university application.
having those activities in your schedule what you really need is to plan it all out and you'll be fine.
if you have problems with school work with that then drop tae kwon do and come back to it when you're ready. i'm sure your teacher will understand.

Haha I'm kind of in the same position except I use to take HAPKIDO. Only reason why I dropped HAPKIDO for football was because the stuff we did in HAPKIDO was soooooooo boring and we barely had any competitions. But yeah I'd say stick with both if you aren't a lazy ass like I am but keep school first in your mind.
