What can you do about it?`o.O I'm on the urge to cut but at the same time I'd hate to... I don't know what to do for it anymore... I tried thinning it out but it still puffs up a lot and it just looks plain awful! Anyone know what I should do to treat it? Or is there no hope?

p.S. I would show you a picture but no digital camera on me can't find it >.<

Perm? Lol I don't know. I used to have hair like that too. I have naturally wavy, puffy, frizzy, thick hair and it's just so freaking annoying.
So as a birthday surprise, my friends brought me to a salon to get a straight perm. My hair is so smooth and shiny now. *curses those new hair that grew out*

You could always do magic straight.

I use to have this problem and I would straighten my hair all the time. I just get my hair thinned out now with layers, it's still kind of puffy and wavy but still manageable and definitely not as bad as it was before.

You probably shouldn't cut your hair yet. If you cut it will be probably even more unmanageable and puffy because there would be no weight on the hair. Just be patient and let it grow out so the weight of your hair will reduce the puffiness.

Thinning made my frizzy hair worse. It started sticking out at all ends. I just straighten mine everyday, but I do a lot of anti-frizz/hot oil treatments too.

Straightening really burns out the hair. I haven't tried magic straight yet. I mean, I still want to be able to curl it when I want to. tongue.gif

try leave-in conditioner...maybe a diffuser might help? use a curl activator and make it look good. lol. don't brush it. make ur hair so that it works for you and not against you. remember...you own the hair--it doesn't own you :] you'll be ok!

Thanks for all the help guys and gals! =) Appreciate it, I just got a commercial not too long ago and it was about the new dove anti frizz hair therapy system so I'm hoping to go out and get that soon and yeah. Question did you guys had the phase while growing out your hair where it was just awfully ugly? o.O I think i'm getting into that phase! And yeah I heard it's good to leave conditioner in the hair so I try to at times and air dry instead of blow drying, but for straightening my hair I don't think it's long enough to actually do much and see a difference and I don't want to end up damaging it more =\

please don't get perm.. after the perm goes bye bye your hair is gone dead. use hot oil treatment (: i had the same probelm.. trim your hair once every two weeks or so and use hot oil, depending on which one you buuy and just read the instructions it makes your hair more natural and healthy get's rid you the frizz and damaged unwanted hair (:

edit: condition doesn't help much just smoothes your hair but make you hair fall out also.. the dove intensive care is better use..

I have to straighten my hair everyday sad.gif

It's not so much frizzzy.. but its.. curly? LOL But yea. If you use leave in conditioner and then blowdry your hair, it's less frizzy. Might just work!

CHI's 'Straight Guard' works wonderfully for me. just apply some on damp hair, blow-dry, apply some more, and straighten. It protects really well against the heat too, so just make sure to apply a generous amount to the tips of your hair and you won't have to worry much about split ends either. voila =)

You could do magic straight. A lot of people I know with a similar hair type as you opt for magic straight.

;__; my hair used to be like that. my hair is naturally thick and frizzy, but I didnt realize that it was also starting to get wavy and i kept brushing out the waves after i washed my hair. my hair a lot better now though ^^ i get it thinned out lotttss by by chinese hair dressers and i used jojoba oil, esp. on the ends of my hair, after i wash it. then i don't touch the curls after i brush the jojoba oil though. do you have naturally curl/wavy hair? if you do, maybe you should try wearing it like that ^^ i didn't like the way it looked at first, but i got used to after a while. it's nice because i don't have to brush my hair xD (or the curls would come undone--i didn't realize this for a while which added to my puffyness ;__; ) good luck!!!
