i am thinking if i should go dermatologist because i have a pimple on my chin and forehead that keep breaking out and blackhead on my nose. But i am afraid dermatologist might make me break out more.

huh? how would it make you breakout more?
anyway, going to the derm for ONE pimple seems a bit silly. now if you have severe ACNE, that's a whole different case.

They don't
My step brother went to the
Dermatologist and they gave him some stuff (ointment I guess)
and now he doesn't break out as much
and his skin is clearer

Some insurances don't cover dermatologist fees. If all you want is some Rx ointments, antibiotics, creams, etc, then just go to your typical family/local doctor. They can prescribe you all the stuff that dermatologists can give you as well.

^ I agree. You can visit your family doctor for a prescription cream/gel.
If it bugs you enough, there's no reason why you shouldn't seek a doctor/dermatologist. Also, "it gets worse before it gets better" is a common phrase you hear when reading reviews about acne meds, so don't fear too much if your skin gets worse. And if it worries you a lot, talk to your doctor about it.
