Hey,

I will be finishing school next year and I want study abroad. If possible in the USA. ^^ Since Soompi is full of students from the states I thought asking in here. It's quite difficult to find the right College, because there are so many. wacko.gif
I was wondering if someones' College is friendly for international students like me. smile.gif The College/Uni should have ESL or any other english programs. My english is quite good but not perfect and I want getting better while studying ph34r.gif
Management or Language Studies would be great. I know you wonder why studying abroad and extra a major/minor in another language. LOL but I REALLY want to. ><

The thing is I can't study in my country what I really want, since my degree isn't as high as it must be to get accepted on an University. T__T;;;

It would be great to get some informations. :]

so many inter. students all over usa, so don't think you should have problems. It's all about what type of cities is the most suitable for you I guess.
But you should check the tuiton first lol, usa's not cheap haha

I agree with ^^ there are alot of international students so you shouldn't worry too much. I knew someone who was an international student, he just went back actually. When my friend went to Dallas a few weeks ago, she said the people at this resturant were all international students there and they seem to be doing well. You also said ur english is good so its not like you wont understand people and they wont understand you. I hope you jus dont get TOO homesick. Anyways... best of luck to u tho. What state/school are u looking at?

Thanks for replying both of you. Yeah that's why I was asking here. And like Kang said, there are so many there. I actually get overwhelmed with all the cities, programs and what not @_@
It would be great to find a good uni on the east coast like Massachusetts, Connecticut, North/South Carolina, Virginia. ^^ I'm not fond of too much sun lol ^^;; Though I wouldn't mind of other states too. I'm not picky biggrin.gif

And yes I know the tuition/fee is alot. But not every uni though. >< Also I'm trying to get a scholarship here for international studying smile.gif

You'll have to take TOEFL and if you get a certain score, you wouldn't need to take ESL classes. Frankly speaking, you don't 'sound' like you'd need to take ESL classes.
You'll have to take the SATs.

What I did was go through USNews to find colleges and did research on them. With the internet, it should be pretty easy for you. You can look through their programs, tuition etc etc. Find out their rankings, SAT and grade requirements (GPA) etc etc.

Good luck to you smile.gif

Oooh! I go to North Carolina State (NCSU). smile.gif But if you're not fond of too much sun, you might not like it toward the beginning of the year. Ha. But yeah. We actually have a "Global Village" where international students live with a U.S. citizen. Yeah. I heard it was a good program (I tried applying and got wait listed... sad.gif). But yeah. Even then, International students kind of blend in until they speak and then it's a good conversation starter.

You said management... I'm going to assume that we have a good college of management since it's listed as "Highly selective" or... whatever. I really don't know.

Good luck finding a school to go to! smile.gif
