Does it hurt a LOT the first time?
I just bought a parissa, wax kit. It's one of those roll on ones,
and you take the strip. and BAM.

I'm so so nervous.
Is it THAT painful?

nope. it;s awesome. but it hurts if you don;t do it right and all the wax is stuck on your skin. that;s when its super weaksauce. but if you pull off all the wax, it doesn;t hurt.

and i leaves your armpits smooth for weeks!

I was looking through other sites, and everyone saying it hurts like hell.
So, I'm a tad intimidated.

Just letting you know.
I'm only 15.

My friend used to wax her arm hair and she said it doesn't hurt that bad -- even if it hurts the first time, it gets easier and starts to feel pretty good lol. She's actually switched to using an epilator now 'cause it's less messy.

it's so amazing when u see the 1 mm of hair underneath!! XD

waxing hurts, but it's not that bad. it's tolerable, to me.

but wouldnt epilator be even messier? since it gets the hairs all over the place ! >o< lol or maybe the epilator your friend uses is different from mine hahah

Waxing under arm hair?
Or just arm hair?
If under arm hair...

YES, omg.
I bought the sally hansen strip on kind.
And it hurt so bad.. it also ripped my skin. It was red and slightly bleeding .______.;;

if just your arm hair, i have no idea because i have no hair on my arms O_O

^ haha, I don't know which epilator she uses, but wax is sticky and it takes a lot more work than just running over your arms with an epilator lol

Waxing your arm hair does not hurt. That's for me at least, it's more of a tingle feeling then a little burn.

waxing is a lot less painful than epilating it. It's going to hurt a lot less when you pull it off as quick as you can. biggrin.gif

well when you're applying the wax on your arm you want to apply it from the direction your hair is growing so it can get the roots of the hair easier. You want a thin layer on wax so I usually apply it slow making sure there isn't too much wax on my arm.

Then when you put the waxing paper on your arm you want to rub it in and then pull as fast as you can from where your hair is growing.

Hope that helps you. :]
