Hi everyone~ ^^

I just recently got a straight perm (The Japanese Yuko system, about 1 week ago), and I didn't wash my hair for about 4 days. My hair is straight after I swim, after I shower, and after I blowdry for a few minutes. But when I wake up there's some random waves. ><;; Does anyone know how to keep hair straight even after sleeping?!

I heard that tying it in a loose ponytail before sleeping helps, but I still need to try that tonight~

Thanks in advance! :3

That's what I thought when I woke up D:

I'm thinking it's maybe since my hair was still a little wet when I slept, it got bent into waves because of all my rolling around and such..

@xcrystal: Yeah~ D: It straightens a lot easier now though ^^;

That happens to me. Since I probably keep moving in my sleep. o__o
Anyways, I just use the blowdryer/hairdryer and my hair is straight again.

Try putting your hair up on the pillow I guess because then even when you roll around it won't really mess up your hair.

yeah...like what flyaway said..if you just wet that part of your hair it will be straight again^^

i've always wondered this...but can u straighten your hair with a straightener after u get magic perm?
because when i got mine done, the hairstylist told me not to go to jjimjilbang (sauna-like place) because the heat will mess up your hair...

You should probably wait a while first ^^; And maybe it's because the sauna has a lot of steam? And I guess that could make frizzes..

Yeah your hair after a straight perm is really soft , so when it's wet and you sleep on it , there will be little waves when you wake up.. I wouldn't recommend tying our hair, you'll still get that little wave just where you tied it. a detanglizer in the morning and let it dry would work.

i have a yuko perm too. this what my stylist told me & it works. keep a plant mister (water bottle thingy) & spray ur hair in the morning right after bed. now comb it down with a wide tooth comb. like those detangling ones r the best. voila.

in japan they have hair water. which is basically fragranced water to moisten the hair when people wakeup with a 'bed head'. you can just use plain water or buy the japanese hair water at webichi for like $12.

Maybe you got a bad perm.
Or see if you hair goes wavy when your hair is fully dry.
