Well, haha, i guess i should just say it then, Im a fatty.
Well I stand at 5'6" at 160 lbs.
I know most of it isn't fat..haha.. it's muscle.
I want to lose the fat without gaining 'more' muscle.
running doesn't see to work very well, I run a mile or two a day and
my legs (thighs) become larger sleep.gif;;

I don't want to go back to school the same way I left it.
So many things changed about me, I want it to show.

--haha the point is, is there a way to slim my thighs down but not lose the muscle?
i need the muscle for tennis but I donot need the fat..

UPDATE;august 21 2k8
+its true i do drink sodas and high sugar stuff...I should stop that.
besides....it doesn't help me at my tennis either.
+hmmm..sprinting rather than just running? i should try it ;D
+swimming haha, i can't really imagine myself doing that...im not much of a swimmer, but wouldn't broad shoulders look sexy? LOL
+I would run everywhere but, since I live in TX the "big" state, we ride cars...EVERYWHERE...and...lots of people stare at you
as you walk or even drive by...stare as in "perverted" kinda staring.
+WOW all these are good suggestions.....idk where to start.
+ill update later and tell my progress biggrin.gif

well, first of all if you started maybe at least 2 weeks earlier then maybe the workout would of showed results.

maybe you could join sports. that would help. running on it's own won't help out a lot if you don't control what you eat.
try other workouts and eating right too.

You could walk around carrying a stack of textbooks.
I did that for about 10 minutes today (not intended to work out, just registration) and I'm so sore.

Thick thighs are always nice ;]. But to answer your question
just eat a diet high in protein, not so high in carbs and eat
slightly below maintenance while still training
and try to preserve that muscle.

i think if you stretch more after working out, then you wont gain as much muscle
stretch more, maybe do some yoga ^^

high protein high fat low carb diet? cut down all your sweetened drinks, whatever that contain sugar, canned food (except tuna?), more eggs, more nuts, more meat (duck, chicken, pork, mutton, beef, all kind of animals), more green leafty veges, more berries? (strawberry, wilberry, blueberry, raspberry etc) thats all?

have you tried swimming? i think its really good for toning down and its a fun workout in my opinion.
i dont know if you need this, but writing down what you eat every day helps me to keep track and make myself feel bad about extra stuff im eating.
dont worry, muscle always looks better than fat. and if you keep exercising, it'll definitely show.

Change your diet, switch to sprinter workouts ~ Fat has issues holding onto a sprinters body.

Run further. Notice that cross country runners are lighter than those who run short distances? Distance makes um....lither? I dunno. But run further. biggrin.gif

I'm trying to do the same thing ><;;
I find that running really helps, but I like to run around 5km+? So 5m+ for you too =DD. Although you said that you run 1-2mi already, there is a difference between sprinters and long distance runners [as someone earlier mentioned]. Although in truth, I tend to focus on how long I would be running (45min+) rather than how far I run.

Also, something like yoga would help tone down your legs, while still retaining the muscle. Try looking up some yoga tips? It's easy and you can do it at home.. sometimes I just do yoga stretches when I'm reading or doing homework XDD
