I don't really like horror for the gore. I'm cool with it if there's gore, but I'm more into the creepy atmosphere and the mood. A good creepy storyline can totally defeat the gore-factor in horror movies for me any day.

Horror really isn't my favorite genre to watch, but it's SO FUN to watch it with friends cause you get to psyche them out and make them jump. It's the adrenaline
Romantic comedies are my thing <3 Cliched, but whateverrrrr.
Tragedies are also faves, although the weeping thing gets old sometimes.
Chick flicks are loveeee.
I saw a preview sort of thing on TV for 30 Days of Night and that thing was so gory! Blood everywhere.
So not scary. Disturbing and nasty, but not 'scary' scary. The kind that messes with your head and uses atmosphere/mood to scare you, gives me true fear, and I rarely watch those, lol.

As for Seed, it's an Uwe Boll film, so that's automatically grounds for most people not to see it, but on top of that theres real puppy torture in it, so I wanted to throw up a disclaimer for that, as I'm sure most people wouldn't want to sit through that.
and nothing to doubt.

I'm more into the ghost stories things, dark & creepy atmosphere, all kind of things that have to do with "the invisible one/other creatures that we can't see"
For me, the Asian horror movies are the best... Eventhough, there're so many remake horror movies from the Asian one, I'm still prefer to watch the original one... I think there's something missing if I watched the remake one...
So, I'm definitely so into the Ring, Ju-On, The Eye, and all kind of stuff... I think that's the best horror movies...

I'm much more into the ghost type stories, although they freak me out so much. They're more suspenseful rather than bloody and all. I really enjoyed The Grudge and The Sixth Sense.

If you thought those were scary, you've probably only scratched the surface of finding good horror movies. I definitely suggest you go and check out Thai Horror movies. Those are on a COMPLETELY different level.
Like:
- Shutter (First thai horror I watched, and boy was it scary)
- The Victim (If you're into creepy atmospheres, this one is so tense that it might choke you)
- Art of the Devil series (The Gore-factor in this one is above Saw's level)
- Colic (Also very creepy. Some babies cry because they want milk. Others cry because they see ghosts)
- Ghost of Nae Nak (A woman's love for her husband is so strong that she's still alive even after she's dead, yeah I know, contradiction)
If it's one thing they know how to do, it's good horror movies... aside from their spicy papaya salads too, hahaha.

i dont really the ghost ones though. those creep me out so much.
whenever i watch the ghost moveies, i usually get really paranoid and i have to sit in a fetal position or something. lol
and i think asian horror movies are the scariest. especially the chinese ones. not so much the japanese ones (in my opinion)

The first Hostel movie was almost like "soft porn" in the beginning if you know what I mean.
After seeing that movie, I'm never vacationing in Amsterdam or whatever the heck the place was.

more like The Grudge and everything.
I'm not those kind of people who screams when something pops up and stuff, but I get scare, too.
I spent my last days of summer watching horror movies,
but many of them weren't even scary...at least for me they weren't.

I love watching Asian horror, though. For some reason, it always seems better than the American ones. Idk, maybe that's just the way I see things
I'm gonna try to look for the original Shutter movie next.
And one of my friends watched Mirrors. xD There's this awesome scene with Amy Smart where--
Okay. xD I won't spoil it for you.

Horror is probably my favorite genre ever! =)
I second the original version of Shutter it's the only movie I'll always recommend!
Sick Nurses is pretty gory. It's pretty rated R to me but here in America the rating would be PG 13.
Art of Devil the most sickening stuff I've seen. the third one takes the cake, it's pretty scary because of the black magic stuff.
Ghost Game this is pee in your pants scary! lol I'd recommend this too.
Lately I feel Thailand has been producing a lot scarier movies. Just the atmosphere in the movies have improved. I have a whole list or recommendations if anyone cares about my opinion, lol just drop me a PM.
