I'm a freshman and I'm new to all this blush.gif
Please help me? T.T'
well as we all know, text books are extremely expensive. So where are some GOOD and RELIABLE online sites to order text books?
and I know most of you recommend amazon.com, I've already looked.
So what are other sites that are useful?

thank you in advance wink.gifb

If there's already topic. please delete this. :] and redirect me.

did you try half.com?

I generally search at campusi.com. That searches through the major sites and compare the prices. I remember I came across another site that allow you to meet the other people on campus to exchange the book intead of charging shipping fee. But I forgot the site, and I don't bother looking it up. If someone comes across it, can you post the link here? thank you!

i use facebook marketplace and uloop. smile.gif
You usually search within the school you go to, so you don't have to pay for shipping.
@ least i did that. =)

Half.com is one of the best places. But definitely check on Facebook Marketplace and even your local Craigslist =)

I go to booksprices.com or something like that, see what the cheapest is and go ahead with that.tongue.gif

I've ordered from Amazon Marketplace, Chegg (rental), as well as half.com and ebay and all of them have been really reliable.

half.com is the way to go.
but as long as you have the isbn numbers amazon.com would work well too.
the key is just to get the right editions, and isbn numbers will ensure that. :]

I usually get mine by half.com. It's also really efficient to use those sites that check the net and compare the prices. The one I use is findbookprices.com.

This semester, the only book I've bought so far is from textbooksrus.com.

But on the other side, I sell my books online on half.com and I also use my local craigslist and will be meeting up with two students on the first day of classes to sell my books to them.

Other alternatives for me would be facebook marketplace (even though it's like dead) and maybe even myspace that connects to my university.

If all fails, I get it at the campus bookstore WHICH IS EXPENSIVE ! :[

look for it on ebay and also places that sell international edition of the book. International editions are a lot cheaper but they are softcover, and sometimes black and white.

i have used different sites to find which is the cheapest
but for my humanities classes where i generally read novels or other similar boks and not textbooks, i just use amazon marketplace, very cheap.
as for textbooks, i actually go on ebay and search the ISBN number, once i got a psychology book that was retailed for around $80 for less than $10. WOOT for auctions! lol

if you know the ISBN of the textbook your looking for, go to smarter.com and search it up.
it'll come up with results for the top five lowest priced websites and ratings for those sites as well.
i'll be a freshman this fall, and i just got a couple books using smarter and it saved me a loadd of money. hope that helps and good luck! smile.gif
