Hrmm I thought all software suppprts Unicode as long as you set the unicode region in XP. You know under the system options and stuff.

Really? Nero doesn't seem to read the chinese / jap / korean characters. They appear alright in XP but in Nero it's not.

Nero (english version) chokes on finalizing foreign characters for file names. I think I got it to work twice and then WIN-XP updates trashed my Windows installation. I suspect my English version of WIN-XP did not like the unicode mix of software.

You're right. In the control panel under regional and language options, I enabled supplemental language support and on the Details button, advanced tab opens and I enabled extend text services to all programs.
Nero 6 works on hangul characters just fine. It choked on chinese characters because I disabled it. I corrected the problem by renaming my files with no chinese characters. Burned hangul files to CD and DVD with no other problems.
