Yes, in the Bible, it is written, "Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy." But what is a Prophet ?, we read further,"But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men." and again "He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church." (1 Corinthians 14 v. 3&4)
As a Christian, how do we obtain the spiritual gift of Prophesy ? Can we knock down people and call fire down from heaven like some T.V. pastors do ?, they sure make alot of money.( 2 Thessalonians 2 v. 11, Revelation 13 v.13).
