So last night I had a sip of sour milk...the expiration date was TODAY so it didn't occur to me that milk could expire before the expiration date ^ ^;; Anyway...it was a tiny tiny sip though...and I was okay afterwards. But NOW, today, I've been having severe cramps and massive bathroom runs >.< The cramps are worse than laxative cramps! sad.gif My mom said it might be my thyroid gland or something that's messed up or the spaghetti I ate today but I'm pretty sure it was the milk. Since they said food poisoning usually occurs 24-48 hours after consumption. What do I do? Should I take a tylonel or something? >.< This is like the worst feeling in the world sad.gif

Btw: I can't tell if it's food poisoning or something else since symptoms of food poisoning are supposed to include vomiting and stuff...I only have the...cramping and bathrooming...

oh that sucks D=
i'd say just get a hot compress or one of those things that you can heat up,
and press it on your stomache,
the heat should calm down your stomache and relax the stomache muscles
its' less stressing that way at least D=

you have diarrhea

Drink lots of water and drink Pepto Bismol

Waw, you have a weak stomach. I take a sip of expired milk many times, because there's much leftover and I don't want to throw it right away, so I try it out first to see it's gone bad or not haha. ph34r.gif

^ Yeah try putting something really warm on your stomach. You can also try drinking a hot cup of water with a bit of ginseng in it. Or try to lay on your stomach. Hope you feel better! Food poisoning really suck. sad.gif

yeah you must have a really weak stomach o_O
I drink expired milk occasionally if I'm really desperate and I never get sick. Just rest and drink a lot of water.

I have a very sensitive nose and I'm very picky when it comes to foods, so I usually always check the expiration date and smell it before it comes near my mouth. x]

I'd suggest some Ibuprofen and a hot compress for cramps. But I guess Pepto Bismol would be better for a sour stomach. I had to take that once at outdoor ed when I was little after throwing up the meatloaf they fed us for dinner and I felt better and then puked the 2nd time. It was really gross, but it cleared up everything.

Learn to smell your food first ~ Developing a good sense of smell with food can tell you ahead of time if something is going bad or rotting..

If it is food poisoning I don't think a doctor can do anything about it.
Actually there isn't much you can do, except do your bathroom runs. Diarrhoea is the body's way to get rid of the bacteria.

Maybe the milk wasn't stored at the right temperature. (at or below 4 degrees centigrade)
Even if it was a tiny sip, for some bacteria you only need a few to make you sick while others need much more.

gets something with ginger in it. like ginger ale or chop up some ginger and bite it and suck the juices. it'll help kill any bacteria that could be causing you pain.

Well sometimes we accidentally have the milk a day after the expired date and I dont think any of my family members had any problem coz I smelt the milk and it smelt normal biggrin.gif

I had put expired milk by accident in my tea before and the milk like separated from the tea when I stirred it D:

So just smell it when it's at it's expire date to see if it's alright to drink it or not

my mom always does this thing for me where she pricks my thumb with a needle and gets all the bad blood out or something. don't really know what it does but .. 100% of the time it works. it really amazes me. lol. before she does that she does this back thing where i lay on my stomach and she basically cracks my back which usually does the trick but if it doesn't then she pokes my finger with a needle. tears.gif

i remember this one time in elementary school i had horrible food poisoning. i was running to the bathroom like mad and i was throwing up anything i ate or drank. one night my mom woke me up and did the needle thing and immediately i felt better and i stopped throwing up everything and running to the bathroom. i'm not telling you to do this .. lol. just an interesting story i thought i'd share.

anyways ... your body is just trying to get it out of your system. remember to drink plenty of water. also, i always smell all my food before i eat it if i'm not sure if it's still good or not. it's a good thing i rarely ever drink milk. lol. i'm pretty sure sour milk will smell pretty sour. crazy.gif
Some say i'm a genius, others say i'm crazy
but they all say i'm a little on the weird side

that's like what the koreans do where when your stomach hurts and they do that. they're normally afraid of the needle in the dramas.

I think you have a weak stomach...cause most expiration dates are actually 1 week earlier than the actual date when it expires. =x My brother accidentally drank 2 months old milk (he spat most of it out though) before and nothing went wrong with him.

Anyway I hope you feel better! =/
