So, I'm not sure if this is the right section but if it isn't, mods can please move it? smile.gif

But, has anyone here ever changed schools in their junior years because that's exactly what I'm doing. And if you have, how was it? Because I'm thinking it would be really hard to make new friends and because different schools have different education.

Junior Year? XD I've switched school's since I was in Elementrary, Middle School/Junior High. I stopped when I hit High School. It was pretty easy back than, because everyone was pretty open to friends, and trying to 'form' their group.

I'm not saying it would be easy, but I don't think it won't be as hard as a Junior. You just gotta' be super open to everyone you meet, and approach people. Don't wait for them to come to you, because they might be shy as well. You'll have friends scattered all over the place, but that's a good thing. =) The first day is always hard. =X

No I haven't switched schools, but I got in a different class with people I don't know at all this year. The first day I made friends right away and we went out to dinner together. So you just got to open up and just talk and have fun! be yourself and don't be scared.

I did, changed from public school to an all guys private school. haha so weird.... everyone was more smart than I was, and i think i was considered average for my math too >_> however making friends was harder in private school, a lot of ppl kept comparing marks and people only look at you if you were smart... so yeah, it ts hard to make new friends in a new place no matter public or private school, but you will get used to it... luckily in my case, my parents decided to have me go back in public the next year cus they didn't like how it taught me through Christianity LOL that's the irony in there cus now I am a Christian hahaha while my entire family is Buddhist...

Btw, Good luck, I'm sure you will find your new school to be great place

Switching highschools in highschool was the best decision of my life. I switch 3 TIMES during highschool. I made new friends everywhere, and everything is great. Just open up and let people comes to you. People are always friendly and curoius.

yes, making good friends are good...
i've been in the zone of where i'm too chicken to make new friends
but that's not the only reason...it also depends on the environment and
the people in your school...
but..i wish the best of luck to you..^^

I've changed schools at least 5 + times.. It's not really that bad to switch schools, although it might take awhile to make new friends. When I switched schools I made friends pretty fast and easy. Just act normal and people will just come and start asking you stuff like why did you change schools and how your old school was like. I get that a lot sweatingbullets.gif

Edit: Oops I forgot to add. I did switch schools in my junior year. ph34r.gif

I changed schools during my transition from sophomore to junior year. The last two years of high school sucked big time.

I didn't switch schools during my junior year, but I did in 2nd, 6th, 8th, and a week before 10th grade. It took me around two weeks to make real friends in 2nd grade and my sophomore year, but 8th grade, I definitely had the hardest time making friends.

I switched schools A LOT when I was younger.
elementary years - went to 3 different schools
highschool - went to 3 different schools

My family moved quite a bit.
It was sort of difficult. Especially during highschool. I went from being popular and somewhat outgoing to completely unknown and introverted. I didn't even go out of my way to make friends lol. People thought I was soo stuck up but it was my junior year and I just wanted to focus on my studies.

My friend moves a lot so she has been to over 7 different schools.
And in different states too. But she's very perky and cheesy so she
makes friends very easily. I guess it's not that hard to make friends since
you made YOUR friends by not knowing them before right?

i changed schools twice in elementary, stayed in the same school in jr. high, and changed schools five times in high school

making friends really depends on your personality.. pretty much don't be too self-conscious and just put yourself out there and you'll make friends

yeah i remember it kinda sucked because i had to take courses over ... and over... and over... because different schools have different requirements. i remember in one school i took health for a semester but it didn't count in another school so i had to make up a semester cuz i "wasn't on track" ... bleh
