especially tilapias, they are bad for your health, you shouldn't eat it more than once a week, it's high of fatty acids

My dad eats a can of wild sardines every night
Farm raised ones are high in omega 6 fatty acids. You need a balance of omega 3's and omega 6's and theres only a couple foods that have omega 3's. >_<
Farm raised fish are generally not as healthy..and probably have more fat in them.
Same with farm raised anything, though..

contrary to popular belief- some type of fats ARE indeed good for you.
theres a limit to everything. yes, you Can't have too much of anything..even water
salmon, along with other fish types have what is called- MERCURY.
it is poisonous and a high content level of mercury in a person can lead to brain damage...and worse.
chicken also has mercury.... but.. anyways. just don't have too much of anything.

Its also high in cholesterol
Most of the calories come from fat and protein in the fish.
The fat is omega 3 fats and none of it is saturated fats/cholesterol.
Say you have 200 g of grilled salmon, that's 280 calories.
126 calories from fat and 152 calories from protein.

The high in cholesterol is because of the way it is cooked. If you deep fry the fish or cook it in lots of butter you will increase the "bad" fats, which are the ones you want to eat less of.

Another thing I recall seeing was a list of fish and saying what was the healthiest.. or something like that. They said Wild Alaskan Salmon was the healthiest because it had the lowest contamination and I think the highest amount of Omega-3 though I'm not too sure about that.. If I ever find the site, I'll put it up.
