1SwtDeception: Multiple Thread

hi,

well im going out to a teenage club with my gf this friday and i need some immediate help, i have next to no confidence in danceing, i mean when i look at some people i think how stupid they look and then i realise well if im thinkin that about them then what are they thinking about me?! but yeah i need some advice on confidence because although i wouldnt sit down and not get up on the dancefloor i would usually stand there and jst move my feet from side to side with the music, but my gf has the confidence to move a bit more, but im not talking about the confidence to do some real top class dancing like breakdance or the foxtrot, just small stuff

please help me out on this one guys because i NEED your help

thanks a million in advance

Have you ever done dane before? Idk~ Maybe you can try practicing dancing with mirrors to get an idea of how you're dancing like? Because thats what we do in dance class.. or maybe you can try watching some videos of people dancing in clubs if your stuck on what they do.

Life is your personal boat -- you can make it sink or float.

Just wait for a good beat to start playing,
I dunno about you, but when a really good techno tune starts playing I start dancing like crazy. wink.gif
the sudden urge, act by instinct!

when in doubt, just jump around, lol. but seriously, just go with the mentality to have fun and you'll be fine. who cares what a bunch of strangers think, it's not like they'll recognize you anyways, heehee tongue.gif

A song can take you back instantly to a moment, a place or even a person.
No matter what else has changed in you or the world, that one song stays the same, just like that moment.

So cute smile.gif I'd suggest dancing in front of the mirror. Look at some youtube videos, just to get a feel for how to vibe with the music. The most important component to dancing (in da club) is moving to the rhythm. You're lucky that most hiphop/club songs have basically the same kind of bass/rhythm to it, so sway to it. The easiest way for a guy to dance is to sort of sway back and forth, but IN TIME WITH THE MUSIC. Imagine if you were making love to a girl ('cept your 15, so imagine only), how a guy sort of moves with the way the girl moves. If you wanna do it like the pros, you gotta have the vibe- look at your girl like you wanna eat her alive. Not like a lecherous perv, but more like Channing Tatum circa Step Up 1 (look up on youtube, "Channing Tatum dance club"). A lot of guys aren't so hot at dancing, so don't feel too awkward about it. Show confidence. If you have that sans dancing skills, you'd still get a lot of play at the club. biggrin.gif G'luck.

you're a guy! you have nothing to worry about when it comes to dancing. all you have to do is find the beat and rock from one foot to another in time with the music.
just do really basic stuff, keep the crazy footwork and hand movements to a minimum
stay close to the centre of the dancefloor, that way there're alot of people around you and you have more cover.

if you feel too conscious of your dancing, it'll show up in your actions so just forget about other people watching and have fun smile.gif don't think about it too much.

if anything, grab your gf and dance with her (grind..whatever..)
head in the clouds~

learn how to glide, it's something that can impress any1 if done correctly and isn't too hard to learn smile.gif oh and confidence wise,hmm...well all i can suggest is have fun with it! if u and ur gf are enjoyin themselves, then it won't matter so much ur skills on the dance floor. google or youtube gliding and sliding tutorials. It's such a sick dance style biggrin.gif good luck bro!
What's better, Eggo's or Poptarts??

Believe me, just move your body and let your girl do the work for you. The last thing you'd have to worry about is getting too excited.

Seriously, you're a guy! Guys dont do much at the club. Just stand there and look good. And when you girl moves, move with her. Its basically dry humping. No worries.
