I found out what happened. I was packing on the dry seaweed like there was no tomorrow. The seaweed contains a lot of sodium and I guess it was all water retention from all that salt I was taking. I lost all the weight now. Thanks for the replies.

Well, when you do cardio, you should probably take in account that that weight you're gaining is muscle weight.

Don't worry about your weight, worry about how your body looks like in the mirror.
and its normal to eat more than you normally would after exercise. I think if you're going to watch what you eat, eat healthy, or eat in moderation.

Im bad at advice, sorry.

er no because cario is hardly ANY muscle training so I wouldn't have put on 6 pounds of muscle. Plus I would have lost some weight before I put on any muscle.

It might be my eating habits but I doubt it because it's not the first time I've eaten more for a while. Thanks for a reply anyways. >_<

I'm going to go ahead and say it's water weight. Seeing as you probably
consume a lot more water because cardio will make you thirsty. You cannot just randomly
put on 6lbs of muscle mass in two days especially through cardio.

^ it might be water weight or your body just fluctuating due to changes in your diet. If you add some light weight or resistance training, your body will tone and build lean muscles. muscles, although a lil heavier than fat, but it helps boost your metabolism.

There's no way I would've gained muscle in those few days.

Have you considered it could be healthy weight. Without a before and after or progress pictures.. The casual reply can't be very effective at identifying the situation clearly. Along with the fact only you can possibly know how consistent your diet truly has been the last 3 months.. Or what you are stressing about, how much consistent sleep you are getting etc wink.gif Lots of factors that all revolve around you wink.gif Water weight, carb consumption, etc ~

The other day I lost more than half of the weight, but it came back on again the day after. Damn this is annoying.
Well, there isn't any noticble change when you look at me so picture would be useless. Diet and lifestyle is basically the same for as long as I can remember (besides some extra exercise).

eat more then? because if you dont eat enough, your body burns more of your muscle tissues, and when that happens, erm, lesser muscles=lower metabolism? then you gain weight easier than losing it... i think? wink.gif

Actually I'm setting out to lose weight and then gain it back again. All I'm trying to do is to do more cardio exercise to lose the fat and then gain a bit the weight with muscle so I can be a normal weight. I don't plan on doing it at the same time.

What I don't understand is how am I gaining all this weight so fast? It doesn't fall off easily but it does every few days or so.
Besides, if it was water weight I would feel it.

i understand how you feel because that was what happened to me, but i dont think im in a right position to advice you anything since im no fitness expert wink.gif furthermore, i used to starve myself before i engaged in any form physical activity coupled with a healthier diet, thus the weight gain for me was wholly understandable. likewise, i used to have waist of 23.5 inches (so tiny right? lol) but soon after i started a healthier lifestyle, i gained it all back to 25.5-26 inches. that was pretty depressing for me initially but hey, at least i know that im doing something beneficial for my health and not risking it to any form of diseases or illnesses. losing fat is good, but the numbers on the weighing scale really doesnt mean anything. it just tells you how much you act against gravity, yeah, thats all. if you dont look any worse off than before, then you should really see how you progress from here. but seriously i dont think youll look any worse than where youve started, trust me smile.gif
