when you stop doing it and go back eating normally, you will gain the weight back .

then what if i quit liquid dieting but tried another diet, would i still there be possibilities I go back to my old figure?

yeah its probably something that you would want to do if you wanted to lose weight for some sort of special occasion. Other then that it would be hard to maintain a steady diet after you get off that liquid diet

Yeah she went on a diet where she drank a mixture of maple syrup and water and something else that i cant remember..

This type of diet is extremely bad for you as it will look like you have put more weight on,
as your body bloats from the water.

The severity depends on the diet you'll do thereafter. Unless it's a diet that consists of a healthy amount of nutrients and calories, it will probably slow down your metabolism. The reason behind this is that if you were to eliminate or drastically reduce a particular part of your usual diet, your body will try its best to cling onto what is left -- thus the slow metabolism.
Other than that, your body also suffers when there is a deficiency in nutrients. There could potentially be long-term health problems as a result. I know it has been said various times before, but having a healthy diet and exercising is the best way to go. You'll be able to achieve the body you want and maintain it healthily that way.
