NODAME CANTABILE!!!!
Omigosh...that drama is too funny...its my favorite Japanese drama...aside from 1 Litre of Tears (but that is a really sad drama so you probably wouldn't want to watch it...I'd recommend it if you feel like crying and being inspired)
It also came out with a 2 episode special after the series ended.
Ueno Juri is the main actress....she is absolutely perfect in this!!!
Tamaki Hiroshi is the main actor....he is so gorgeous!!!!
You can dramawiki the synopsis...but really...it is too good...just watch it!!!!

I don't know exactly how this drama affected me so much but I've been going around promoting this drama like.. to everyone, lmao.
Its basically about a group of people who cross each other's lives and each have their own set of problems. Its pretty melancholy.. and it covers some issues that you wouldn't really think of right on the spot for a drama. Like no cliche kind of thing.
I didn't know any of these actors/actresses prior to having watched this so I don't really remember their names now either but its good. Oh yeah, Ueno Juri is in this one too (Nodame ^). I think its eye-opening and it can like, broaden your views and stuff somehow. =/ How, I don't know. LOL.
If you were something FUNNY then you should watch Binbo Danshi. Once again, this isn't your usual romance-boy-meets-girl-blah kind of story, and it revolves around a different case. In here, Oguri Shun (Hana Yori Dango, Gokusen, etc) starrs as the main character who continuingly keep taking on other people's debts and pays them off by himself. Its funny, kind of random, and weird at the same time. Its about variety and a break from the usual romance plot so yeah. Pretty okay.
If you want typical romance/comedy then go for Absolute Boyfriend. I don't really know what to say about this one.. its about this girl who wants to be a patissiere who has somehow gotten herself a lover robot. I don't remember her name but I know that Mizushima Hiro is in this drama. You should read the description yourself since I'd probably go all biased on you, lol.

On to happier things, if you're open to Korean dramas I strongly recommend Coffee Prince or Goong (aka Princess Hours), especially the latter. In Goong, an ordinary girl agrees to get engaged and married to the Crown Prince of Korea to save her family from debt, and the story basically follows them through the process of getting used to being married and Chae Gyung getting used to life in the Palace, (and sometimes the Palace staff decide to interfere by doing things like locking them in the same room). And all this while they're still in high school.
This one is a must-watch, not only because it's incredibly, incredibly funny and cute (despite the angsty-sounding summary I gave it), but Yoon Eun Hye is brilliant as Chae Gyung and she and Joo Ji Hoon (who plays Shin, her husband- and who is yummy eye candy) make an absolutely fantastic couple on screen. And the supporting cast is just as good. If you liked Hana Kimi you'll definitely like this and Coffee Prince. Just a heads-up though- Goong is 24 episodes long so if you like your dramas 10 eps and under this might seem like a slight drag.
CAST
Chae Gyung: Yoon Eun Hye
Shin: Joo Ji Hoon

KUROSAGI Cast: Horikita Maki & Yamamini coopera Tomohisa
Kurosaki is a young man whose family was destroyed by swindlers. Despite that, Kurosaki grows up to become a con artist known as Kurosagi. As Kurosagi, he swindles other con artists and returns the money to the original victim. He works with the master swindler Katsuragi Toshio even though Toshio had a hand in the destruction of Kurosaki’s family. Kurosaki's life begins to change when he meets Yoshikawa Tsurara, a young law student who disapproves of his disrespect of the law. Can she persuade Kurosaki to give up swindling and his quest for revenge?
^its not THAT dramatic and some parts are hilarious.
Hana Yori Dango 1 & 2 Oguri Shun & Matsumoto Jun & Inoue Mao
Makino Tsukushi is the only poor student at Eitoku Gakuen, the school of the ridiculously rich and privileged that is ruled by Flower 4 or F4, a group of four boys who come from extremely powerful families: Domyoji Tsukasa, the leader and heir of the Domyoji World Finance Group; Hanazawa Rui, the introverted son of a large company; Nishikado Sojiro, a player who is the heir of a tea ceremony school; and Mimasaka Akira, a madam killer with ties to the underground. If a student gets on the F4’s bad side, he/she gets a red notice and is bullied and driven out of school. Makino hopes to pass her days quietly-- without drawing any attention to herself-- but one day, she stands up to Domyoji in defense of her friend. The next day, Makino gets the dreaded red notice. Even though she is harassed, Makino decides to keep going to school because she is a “tough weed”. She declares war right back on the F4. Her resolve gets the attention of her crush Hanazawa Rui and oddly enough, rouses romantic feelings in her worst enemy, Domyoji Tsukasa.
^SUPER FUN.
Witch Amusement / Witch Yoo Hee / A Witch in Love [마녀유희] Cast: Jae Hee Han Ga In
As the director of her father's advertising company, Ma Yoo Hee (Han Ga In) is known as a witch for her ruthless, no nonsense character. After a string of failed attempts to hire a housekeeper, she (literally) runs into Chae Moo Ryong (Jae Hee), ex-medical student turned aspiring chef. As a way to work off his debt for crashing into her car, he agrees to become her housekeeper and personal love affairs coach for one month. Gladly, he gives her a makeover that attracts both her old friend Johnny Kruger (Dennis Oh) and her first love Joon Ha (Kim Jeong Hoon). Despite having a girlfriend, Sung Mi (Jun Hye Bin), Moo Ryong eventually finds himself falling for Yoo Hee.
Delightful Girl Choon Hyang[쾌걸 춘향 ] Cast: Jae Hee & Han Chae Young

One day, Byeon Hak-do, CEO of a famous entertainment company, appears in her life. He exudes confidence that he can make any woman fall for him. But as Chun-hyang shows no interest in him, his self-esteem is damaged profoundly. Byeon Hak-do is determined to make her love him.
My Girl[마이걸] Cast: Lee Dong Wook & Lee Da Hae

-You have "1 Pound no Fukuin" also known as One Pound Gospel a great drama full of comedie and with romance, a must see in my opinion. , it's with Kamenashi Kazuya and Kuroki Meisa
"Kosaku Hatanaka is a skilled boxer who turned pro at the age of 19, but he finds himself facing a string of defeats due to his inability to control his appetite, which always puts him in a heavier weight class. One day, due to excessive work out he collapses where he is found by Sister Angela, a naive fledgling nun and he immediately finds himself interested in her." (from drama-wiki)
-Hotaru No Hikari - A hilarious drama with Ayase Haruka (she's awesome as Hotaru) and Fujiki Naohito
"Hotaru works for a famous interior design company. It's a glamorous job but Hotaru's private life is totally the opposite of glamorous. She lives alone, and when she isn't working she's mostly lazing about her rented house in training wear. She's not interested in men. In fact, she isn't interested in anything. "I'd rather lay around than fool around," is her motto.
Her landlord is a bar owner, and one day his son, who has just separated from his wife, comes to inspect the rental property, not knowing that someone is living there. He is shocked at the mess, but not as shocked as Hotaru. He turns out to be her boss, Takano." (from drama-wiki)
-First Kiss - with Inoue Mao, don't be scared with the heart tematic
"A bitter-sweet and uplifting comedy drama about a young girl Mio and her brother Kazuki. To treat her illness overseas, Mio has been living away from her older brother Kazuki for the past ten years. After learning about the upcoming surgery, which she has only a fifty percent chance of survival, Mio decides to fly back to Japan to spend time with Kazuki. Looking forward to seeing his sweet younger sister, Kazuki anxiously awaits Mio's return in Japan. However, their reunion is nothing but full of surprises as Mio has transformed from the innocent sickly girl Kazuki remembers from ten years ago into a sassy woman with an attitude. Kazuki has difficulty dealing with his wickedly selfish younger sister, but soon learns about the truth of her medical condition and has a change of heart" (from drama-wiki)
-Oishi Proposal- with Hasegawa Kyoko and Koide Keisuke
"Imagine that you're at the so-called "marrigeable age" of your life as a single woman...what would your ideal conditions for a husband be? Back in the day, people used to say the "3 Hs"--high salary, high educational background, and tall height; nowadays it's more like the "3 Ls"--ladies first modest attitude, low risk, and a low dependency rate. But that's another story. The real problem is that before your very eyes, a young, well-paid "super hot celebrity guy" appears...and proposes to you...what do you do?
Hasegawa Kyoko plays Shiraishi Suzuko, a beautiful and strong-minded female chef. Koide Keisuke plays the naive young celebrity businessman, Katsuragi Haruki. These two characters await you in this comic drama full of all sorts of mishaps." (from drama-wiki)
- Ryokiteki na Kanojo - with Kusanagi Tsuyoshi and Tanaka Rena - I have yet to see this one but I've heard good things about it and it's based on the Korean movie "My Sassy Girl" so it's definitly a comedy with romance
"Based on the hit South Korean movie, My Sassy Girl, the character backgrounds and plot details will be changed for the drama. While the protagonists in the original film were college students, this time the pair will be a marine biology professor, Masaki Saburo, and Takami Riko, an aspiring writer." (from drama-wiki)
