my lilo bro, who somehow got a hold on my life, my Ipod nano, and THREW IT IN THE FISHTANK. >(
yeah, i'm pissed. love my music and now it's dead.
It was in there a whole night. (I spent that night freaking looking for it in the living room, cause that was where i last seen it, and it was nowhere to be found.)
my dad and my sis's boy is saying to let it dry for a couple of days, and see if it'll work again.
it's not going to work, is it.
i let it dry for one day. i tried it. nope, doesn't work.
so, i need some answers.
is it dead? if it is, i gotta get myself a new music player. (hell no, am i getting an ipod again. cost too much. i'm getting the zune.)
OR
is it still alive? (which i doubt.) if it is, i will keep it. (but i don't think that's a choice anyways, cause i put it somwhere, and it's gone. somebody either stoled it or took it and lost it. pisses me off even more.)
either way, i'm getting a new music player, but i gotta know, is it going to work again?

Optimistically I don't think the circuits are dead. The screen is probably flooded and most likely won't show anything for a while. The battery most likely shorted out and disabled itself long before the rest of the unit flooded completely.
Let it dry for a long time... shake it out... if you're bored check if its easy to open and carefully open it to speed up the process.
Some people say put it in uncooked rice to help absorb the moisture.
After like a week or two.. plug in the cable (hopefully you can use the charger and not your computer) and see what it does.
Anyways, you should probably go shopping for a new mp3 player... seems like most people can't stand to go without music for some odd reason.

If you listen to Asian music, don't get the zune.

what? you serious? it sucks at asian music??? NNNOOO!!!!!!!! so then only the Ipod works with asian music? tell me please! i was going to go buy the zune today but if you say that then....ahhhh!
wait, do you mean, like, it sucks at writing the real asian name? (like, if it's a korean song, and the title is in korean, do you mean that the zune player can't show it???)
awdark: i see, i see. thanks for the advice. i can't live without mine, because it helps me calm down when i'm mad. (i'm mad right now but i'm listening to music on the computer so,) and i just love music. so yeah.

I think they're a bit more expensive? but it's totally worth your money.
You can delete music off from it without having to plug it in the computer,
you can choose your own background with your own themes that comes with it
etc. etc.
I think the only language it can't read is Thai...
i know it works with Korean, Japanese and Chinese though...

haha theyre not more expensive... 2GB for $80, 4GB for like maybe 100, 8GB for 120, etc etc. And you can get them at either i think. It has a SD card slot so you can add memory for really cheap
