i dont have it but ive borrowed it from ppl.
what i think.
Pros
____
fast typing
the sidekick data plan (unlimited txt+internet for a price per month)
some games
music
has aim, msn, and yahoo.
- you can sign on to all of them
Multi-task (internet and chat) but you have to press the back button to go back to main screen.
but if you click interent again, it take you back to your original page.
Cons
______
internet is slow
-some websites cant be accessed such as youtube and myspace. i think they have their own plan
the buttons are too small
so its sometimes hard to press them
Well thats what i think from personal experience
the choice is yours in the end.
i would get one too, but my parents wont let me. T_T
i like the slide.

okay, not entirely, aside from the full qwerty keyboard, thats the only thing that i like, honestly, other than that i hate it. There is no way you can get custom ringtones other than buying it from the catalog, the sidekick does NOT come with an alarm clock, you have to buy that from the catalog, the internet is slow and its really bulky. My reception was always going off and on and many times calls wouldn't go through. I sold my sidekick after 2 months for a blackberry.

But honestly, I'm happy with it because the phone I had before (the razor) sucked for me x.x;;
It never caught reception in the places I needed it the most ._________.

I'm going to get the sidekick either this weekend or next weekend.
Getting the new sidekick not the LX or slide but it's code name is gekko. You can switch the covers of it and make personal ones. Just what I needed haha.

and this is why two-way pagers should have never been pushed out of the market. could have easily made then internet ready with a few modifications to the initial design. those things used to kick ass.

im pretty sure you can use it anywhere.
i used my aunts at school and i used it at her new house, which doesnt even have the hotspot or stuff like that.
if it finds a network the it would use it. but the speed for internet varies.

IMHO I think that thing looks gaudy. So many people in my school has that phone, a lot of people and all my friends associate it the gangster phone.
My cousin had it, I felt like throwing it out the window. the internet sucked, was so slow. super slow you can use it on the road it will take a few good minutes for a page to load. It's good for texting though. Looks so awkward when I see someone putting it up against their ear.
My friend had it, wanted it really badly but then he sold it becuase he didn't like it at all and got bored.
But if your service is T Moblie and you are a heavy texter, then I would recommend the phone. Other than that, I would just say get a blackberry or a nicer looking phone with better features.
I guess its becuase I like phones that you can easily slip into the pocket, that my opinion is like this.
