well someone had to say it
plus, thread will be closed involving gifts sooner or later~
i think you should wait on the couple rings idea though, it hasn't even been a month... or a 100 days or what not.

a necklace .. maybe ..?
depending on your girlfrend.
if she is that type of person that can be into jewelry.
you should pay attention to what she says or talks about
there's usually some great "hint hints" in em
maybe. ?

Since it has only been three weeks in, I'm not sure if getting promise jewelry would be a good idea, considering how special the meaning usually is. For me, at least, it was somewhat of a milestone to materialize our promises into the form of rings. I think since it is a birthday present for her, it should be something that focuses on, well, her. Perhaps the promise ring idea can be saved for an anniversary when the focus is on the relationship.
For gift ideas, as [babii3Śchiink] ~♥ said, look into what she tends to like. Some girls/guys prefer handmade things, while others like jewelry, etc.

aww this is so cute, ur both each others' firsts. anyway, i think since its only been no more than a month, u should get her something simple and cute, like a cute stuffed animal and out to eat or something. =)

i understand the need to give her something "special", but this has only been 3 weeks. i'd invest on jewelry after you know she's the right one. otherwise, just give her something that fits your budget. your first gift should set the standard of what you will spend later on. so don't go out extravagant (even though she's special), because if you can't keep it up, then you can be viewed as someone who became less interested in her.
so something that is of significance - start of a great relationship. i like music box idea. maybe you can say something like "as we grow together, we can fill this box with our special memories". mini cooper i'm' gonna steal my own idea
i would avoid promise rings before the first year. way too early.
