I'll cut right to the chase. So what do you guys generally find yourself doing when you're completely bored or just need to take a break from everyday life? Also, have you discovered that what you do now differs from what you did in the past?

For me I used to:
-Drink & smoke (cigs) a lot
-Hang out & party with friends which always involved drinking as well
-Play computer games i.e. Starcraft, CounterStrike, etc
-Bar/club scene almost every weekend
-Jump on my motorcycle whenever the mood striked me

These days:
-Drink occasionally w/ friends, I quit smoking. Honestly, there are times when I'll bum one from a friend or co-worker if I'm having a rough day. This is very rare though.
-I moved from Austin to Houston (changed jobs), and I used to hang out with co-workers after work. We were all around the same age. Now in this new job, everyone is a lot older than me so that stopped. I work for an Energy (read Oil) company doing IT. Don't really know anyone here, so I usually keep to myself.
-Computer games bore me to death now, so that stopped awhile ago. I'll occasionally fire up the XBOX360.
-Got tired of the bar/club scene, but I'll go every now and then if friends want to. I hated coming home smelling like cig smoke & drunk.
-My motorcycle, well, I'd ride it more. Several problems - Houston drivers (complete idiots), and crime. Where I currently reside, I have no where to store my bike safely. It resides at my friends house (in his garage). This will change in December when my lease ends here.
-Lately, even though I spend the better part of 6 hrs in front of a computer all day (IT duh!), I still find myself in front of the computer a lot at home. Browsing tech forums or OT topics (such as this one), and Facebook. It's funny cus when I get home, I'm so tired from sitting in front of a computer monitor that I don't want to anymore, but I do it again! Hah!
-I'm finishing up my bachelor's degree as well, so that's taking up some time. Don't ask. I've made some bad moves in my life, and not graduating when I had every opportunity to is one of them. There are some personal (read Family) issues, but I'll save that for another time.
-Ha! Can't seem to get enough of K-drama and K-movies? Not sure why. I've spent countless hours on Crunchyroll and Veoh.

Yea, I'm pretty booring and not very outgoing. That explains why I'm still single, hah! tongue.gif So what about you? blush.gif

Honestly when I am bored I am on soompi and facebook. LOL. But if I am really extremely bored, I clean and sometimes I cook. I know strange. But I am a very hands-on person.

Now I also take bubble baths if I am bored.

I used to watch dramas like crazy! CR and Veoh account! LOL. But now I'm just wiped out from keeping up on my dramas. The last drama I saw was Coffee Prince! I remember one time I stayed up past 5 am to finish Stand Up!. Tiring, indeed. Crazy? I would say so.

what do I do when I'm bored?
honestly Im not very creative especially this summer ROFL where I have just bummed..I guess cause I've been studying the whole year, and I just needed a summer off to really bum and chill before school arrives again..but if I'm at school and I'm bored? I would

- walk around campus alone sometimes just to think
- ask a few friends to go out just driving around lol *I can't drive nor do I have a car AHA*
- go watch movie premiers midnight on a school night
- chill with a few friends eat out, etc.
- Dramas dramas dramas
- Scary movies..*my sister hated to watch them therefore I had to find a scary movie buddy..*
- anime..o_o
- online browsing/shopping

that's what I do now and then when I'm bored and stuff

before:

I went online and chatted to friends and that's it..cause I was younger and wasn't really allowed to go out O_O not till I got out of the house was I really able to do things on my own or with others

When I'm bored... I sit online to chat.

I sometimes come up with crazy ideas and search online for it http://www.instructables.com/ or just google for schematics... usually I come up with a list of parts and ill start desoldering components and try to sort them.. and by the time im done I will forget about my initial goal of building whatever I was looking for... and usually I end up wasting a LOT of time on it and i forget about everything else and she gets mad at me ._.;;;

The worse thing for me to do.. is think of things to buy then searching online for it and I start spending.. so fun and addictive usually I find other stuff I want too x_x http://www.dealextreme.com/ often has things that are just tooo cheap to not want to buy... vicx.gif

I dunno I just manage to waste a lot of time online.. especially with blogs those are fun like gizmodo or xanga...

when i'm really bored now ... when i'm at work i'm online. when i'm at home i'm playing my ds. i'd be playing computer games if i had a computer. i'd build a computer but i'd have no where to put it considering we already have two in the room. probably take up WoW again if i really wanted to or spend my nights playing dota or something. sometimes i read ...

i'm still just as lazy as i was in highschool. i still do the same things when i'm bored. play games and read. smile.gif
Some say i'm a genius, others say i'm crazy
but they all say i'm a little on the weird side

Although it's not necessarily while I am bored, one of my favorite outlets is to belt out old Barry Manilow or Billy Joel songs while passing the time by on my way home from a hard day of work.

The other people on the bus absolutely hate it though.

Usually it goes to smoking, liquor, hookah, driving around, talking with friends, and video games. I really want to learn how to bike, I think I understand most of the concepts but we'll see whenever my friend brings his bike up, I'll get to learn then!

I'm exactly the same on those counts. It's scary. crazy.gif
Every now and then I try something different (bartending class, rock climbing, ballroom dancing) but it gets expensive. At least my bike is always there and I just gotta worry about gas and maintenance. You should try surfing, too.

Nice bike. Zixxer, correct? I use a CycleShell because "out of sight, out of mind," you know? I used a Kyrptonite chain to lock everything to a pole until the cops hounded me. Now it's chained in my friendly neighbor's private property. smile.gif These things are enough to deter the common thief. Use this with full coverage insurance and you should be good.

Yea, its a 2005 ZX6R. I came from a 03 Yamaha R6 before that, and I absolutely love the torque the extra 37cc's brings. It's the bike in my avatar pic (that's actually mine), but an older pic of it. Looks like a brand new 250R judging from your pic. Those are hands-down best starter sport bikes out there unless you're a bigger, heavy set individual, then you might need more torque (i.e. more cc's to get moving). I also started on a Ninja 250R back in the day - a looong while ago. We seem to have a lot in common which is scaring me. If you're Korean too, then I'm gonna be really scared. sweatingbullets.gif Nice to meet you though. smile.gif

Cycle-Shell would do me no good here. Thieves are just that determined here. I do have full coverage on it, but I'm not willing to risk it. I'll just wait it out for another 4 months when my lease expires. I still ride my baby on the weekends, but not so much since out of sight - out of mind lately.

I see that a lot of people mentioned searching stuff on Google. I also do that when I really bored, or I'll search something up on Wikipedia too. I find myself sometimes wasting time on those stupid Tower Defense flash games too, wth. You guys know what I'm talking about?

you are my clone! lol

depends on which mood im in
i used to go out partying alot when i was in a mood i did not like but ive stopped and now.

Bored: usually draw while watching movies or tvshows endlessly.

angry: CLEAN!!!!! CLEAN AND ORGANIZE! lol, i dont know why i feel so much better after. i also cook sometimes biggrin.gif

frustration: i walk, walk until i figure out whats wrong, let it out, deal with it, and accept it. then i go home when i feel better.

those are my most common outlets...

I'm not the one lacking intelligence dear.

Go on forums (like right now), youtube, watch dramas, read manga, blah blah blah. But that's usually when I'm procrastinating before midterms and finals.

When I feel like I need to get away, I either play the piano, sing my guts out on the karaoke machine, or play some ping pong.

When I'm really really really bored, I go to sleep.

In the past, I used to go out a lot with friends and stay out late. Now I rather stay home to chill... read a book, go online, watch dramas. More "me" time. smile.gif

Hmm.
