Well my dad is stuck right in the middle between both these cars(the sedan version)

What would you guys pick if you had to pick one and had $38,000 to blow

g35.

Faster, more standard features in the G35, more power, more of a car basically. For 38k you get a shell of a BMW, while you get pretty good options even including nav in a g35.

328i coupe would be nice.
C300 is slow, if you ever get a C, you gotta get the C350.

The G35 and 3 series looks fine when driven by an older person. An old guy in a C class does NOT work. If I were 40+, I'd opt for a E class instead. Same goes for the A4 imo.

i can see where you're coming from.
Specially with the new c-class being supposedly sporty looking.
but i don't think there is any stock car that doesn't look fine when driven by different age group.

how about the Lexus IS250??

but from what the choices you've given, I'd get the G35 (do they still make G35? i thought it was G37 now)

I dont know...I understand what your dad is going through... Both cars are really nice, but ultimately I'd get the BMW. But if your dad was thinking about the G37S....man that is a tough choice. Both cars would be pretty awesome.

And I just feel like Audi A4s are for women...not sure why because a lot of men drive them, but I feel like I see more women drive them than men...

And again, I'm bias against Mercedes....

The smart choice would be to choose the G35. I mean, it's the most bang for the buck and if you get the 328i people may see it as a lower class version of the 335i. Like others have said, you can get it fully optioned out compared to the 3 series for much cheaper.

If it were me though, I'm partial towards BMWs, so I'd go with the the 3 series. I just can't get over the interior design. It's so simple and ergonomically correct it just says drive me all day. There are a billion reasons to choose the 3 and a billion to choose the g.

In the end it depends on the test drive, whichever one moves his soul more is the right one.

for 38k definitely go for the g37, its more bang for the buck. If you get the 328, you'll be kicking yourself for not getting the 335i tongue.gif

For 38k you can get a 335i without the seats and the front windshield + rear trunk lid

You can get a 335i used fully loaded for 38k...
In the states around 34, can get you a lightly used 07' 335i.

I dont know about you, I wouldnt get a used 335i around here lol. The people who lease BMW here are those young spoiled kids who drives the crap out of them, or burger flippers who can afford to lease with low interest rates, I wouldnt want a car that's been abused and getting oil changes once every 15k miles.

And the OP said for 38k sooo tongue.gif

i just meant in general, what is a better car, new, omit the price, g35 or 335i,

although it is true on what your saying though, the 335i i drive gets abused so badly, not in a dangerous way though.

it's true that most of 335i owners are very young.
but they're made to be abused/take it to it's limit.
if you got 335i and you don't do that, maybe you bought the wrong car.
but yeah... i wouldn't buy a used 335i unless it's CPO. with 100k miles warranty.

Made to be abused and taken to its limit all the way too 200k miles? I dont think so tongue.gif

I am the type of person who occasionally abuse my car, but I buy and own all my cars, and I plan to drive them for a good 8-9 years.

The only time I would lease is if I ever need a BMW for a few years of fun or a S/LS/7 series for business.

335i got hpfp problelm... but except for that, i'm pretty sure 335i will have no more problems than other turbo cars and last as long as they do. wink.gif
okay... i sound like i'm defending bmws or something... lol
DO NOT GET 335i. or 328i. !!!
