1.I don't the concept of getting new/used rims when I get my winter tires mounted? Can someone explain? How is that going to be cheaper for me?
For example, if mounting each tire is like $20 (one for winter tires and one for summer tires), so the total is $160, but if I get new/used rims, then they all can cost more than $160!
2.I forgot what type of rims are good for what season? Is it that the steel rims are good for winter and aluminium rims are good for the summer?

Every time you mount a tire, safety suggest you do a wheel balance which will cost you another 80 bucks or so.
It doesnt matter what the rims is made of, once salt and water get baked on it, it will slowly eat away the paint, the alloy will hold it self relatively well for the life time of your car though.
Generally people get winter rims as their factory ones are ugly, and they end up using the factory OEM ones as winter setup, or if you love your OEM setup you can just get a set of cheap used and scratched up ones for the winter abuse.
I plan on running my aftermarket rims through out the winter with the snow and salt
Lastly, try to go with a smaller diameter size rim, usually 17" or less for winter, the larger the tires the more grip you can get through snow (generally, as you lower the pressure much more).

Mikez, can you do a calculation to fully explain your point? Like I did in my first post! My OEM rims are made out of steel! Well, someone told me to get used rims when I get my winter tires because it will save me money, but I don't know why it will! Can someone explain please?

it saves you money over time because you don't have to pay the removal/reinstallation fee twice a year.
all you have to do is mount summer tires on one set, and winter tires on the other... then swap them according to season. when they wear out, you'll have to replace the tires again but on the upside of things you dont have to do it TWICE a year (which will cost more than the steel wheels after 2-3 years anyways)
