Hey guys, I have my eyes on G35 for a while now, And I am planning to get it soon.
I know it is a pretty fast car, and its a RWD, so since I live in canada i know that I would need to change into winter tires and drive carefully.
my budget on a new car is $20-$25k so I hope that is enough to find latest model of G35 with not too high milage.
Perhaps there are better cars for the money I could buy?
Anyone here have this car that heard some good things and also bad things?
I'm looking for a japanese cars, german is okay too.

Type of car (sporty, luxury, economy, SUV): Luxury, sporty
Price range: 20-25k
New or used: either
Manual or automatic: Manual
Years of driving: 2
Cars currently suggesting: Infiniti G35, R32, STi, any affordable performance cars
Needs and other info (do you need passenger room, cargo space, AWD, etc): performance for its money

i find STi's really ugly and a turn off. i really dont get why so many people like it so much

well..mine definitely did not fall into your price range >.<

however i do recommend buying a G that's 06-07 the 03-05 have some engine problems and oil consumption problems.

if you still have questions im happy to help you anytime.

G's are beautiful cars.. i definitely dont regret buying one hehe smile.gif

Does the R32 fall in your price range? I heard their values hold up very well.

might i suggest a subaru legacy gt (possibly spec cool.gif, i consider it between luxury/sport. although i dont know what u consider it. i dont think its as fast as a g35, but its more practical (unless u are buying a sedan 35) and it comes with awd so u might not need to spend as much on winter tires. and the 06-07 models should be well within ur price range. so u can keep some change to modify.

With that budget , the newest you could get is the 2005 model that doesnt have too high of a mileage on it . G35 coupe is definately a nice car . I own a 2006 myself and never looked back. Just make sure you can pay the gas for it .

if u got a lead foot most of the time yea its pretty bad. my friend has an 06 g35 and i drive it sometimes. i think he avgs 17-20 mpg. sometimes less ive seen. but if u are conservative in ur driving and know some techniques u could get it into mid-20's maybe better.

gas sucks.
no space in boot.
weird entry on both sides of door
forget about rear space.
horrible vantage points.

pro's:
infiniti dealerships

i like the dealerships so much that i'm keeping it.

Yup, i agree on Legacy Spec B. I drove my boy' Spec B and i guess it could fall into luxury category. It has nice interior, quiet ride and Navi.

I agree ...

Cons:

High seats/wierd view.
Small spedo and tach
Uncomfortable seats... skinny people with more narrow shoulders benefit.
Tight rear quarters
Small boot.
Gas
Common.

Pros:

Beautiful car (exterior)
Gobs of torque everywhere
VCD 4 safety
Fast

Iunno... but around toronto you can easily get a g35 for <25k. Not a big fan of g35s though. You can find a close to brand new subaru legacy gt for close to that price. When it comes to "luxury" i'd say it's on par with the g35. They're also pretty sporty and atleast they're not so common. RX8 would be nice as well. Just imo, g35 doesn't really offer "luxury" for the price and the interior seems so plasticy. You can even finance a brand new is250 with that kind of money and save the rest for school or something.
