The Act Of Forgiveness -- The Ability To Forgive is it really that simple? *Edit first page*

do you forgive people easily?
and if you do, do you wish you didn't
and vice versa?
EDIT----
Let's keep this interesting --
Does the act of forgiveness have. if any, surge of revenge in it?
If you forgive easy, is it because you know deep down
you already have a plan to hurt that person that has hurt you?
can you simple forgive and forget (or not let if cross your mind)
--because i believe in karma, that if a person hurts me, they should get it back.
but after a few months ago, i went through a lot and i wouldn't want
anybody to go through what i went through, even those people
who put me in that state to begin with.
with me, i don't forgive people easily
which makes it easier for me to not plan a revenge,
inside my mind, in a way, i know who has hurt me, is a little guilty
and that's all i need to know, to keep my head high.
so what do you think?
revenge in your forgiveness?

It's hard for me to forgive people if they really hurt me
because I just think they don't deserve it.
Someone who was supposed to be my best friend betrayed me
and I said I forgive her, but deep down, I know I don't mean what I said
and she knows it, too. I actually remember her apologizing to me again and I just told her "Whatever." and walked away.
But there's no point of feeling guilty unless you did something wrong.
It's just me though, I can't forgive people too easily.

Trust is hard to gain and easy to break eh? Yeah I agree with you though, if the person really wanted me to forgive them than they wouldn't be trying to find an easy way out.

even when i REALLY REALLY DONT WANT TO
... i dont know, its just a pain to have to worry about being mad at someone.
i forgive and forget. but after that we're usually arent as close as we used to.

I forgive, but I don't forget. EVER.
When someone betrays me, I never forget or treat the person the same again.
I don't let her try to regain her/his trust.
You broke it once, & I don't want you to break it again.
Once it's gone, it's gone.
PERIOD.

So suppose I trip you by accident, and I apologize. How would I go about working for your forgiveness, provided I care enough about you to want forgiveness?

I love how all issues in the mundane American daily rituals can be solved with guns.
