BUT, charice has been improving at an amazing rate (more so after meeting David Foster). It's evident when you watch her sing on David Foster and Friends. She toned down a lot. I guess it's true that David Foster brings the best out of a singer. Plus she chose a ballad (My Heart Will Go On) on Oprah instead of belting out big songs.
At the rate Charice is going, I cannot imagine how amazing she'll be when she reaches her peak (when she's in her 20s & 30s - that's like 10-20 years from now!!!!!)

1. Charice wasn't an overnight success. She joined more than 80 singing competitions before she was even known outside of the Philippines.
2. Charice didn't start singing to topple her idols or to be #1 in the world. She sang so she could buy her family pizza for dinner (basically to help her family out of poverty).
Another Oprah appearance. Way to go, Charice!!!
