I was wondering...
if I delete the music files on my computer...
will it also dissappear on the Zune?

I remember having a mp3 (Toshin... something)
& whenever my files got deleted (like from a computer crash or erase by accident)
in the mp3... it said, "file no longer existing" whenever I tried playing the music...

does Zune do that as well?

Really?! After you deleted the files did you plug it back again? Or was it plugged on while you deleted them?
Mine just dissapears out of my zune if I delete anything on my laptop. dry.gif

Theres a way around this, the method that everyone talks about in search results doesnt work for me as i cant follow the instructions but... I *think* if you change the monitored folder to a different location then you should be able to delete the songs and the software wont be able to detect it.

The software is seriously the biggest letdown for the zune.

^ I totally agree.
Honestly, I find the 1.1 version of the zune software more understandable.
The updated one is REALLY confusing in its ways of editing your music and such.
It took me over 5 hours trying to edit my things again when it updated from 1.1.

Is there a Zune thread?
Gah, sorry, just wanna ask since this is a Zune question,
is there a way for it to read symbols? I hate looking at squares all day. >_<
I think that's something that's been talked about before.

If you delete the mp3 in your computer, the Zune program will not have it anymore. However, the zune, the actual player will still have it (I'm assuming you have it in the zune too) and will only disappear as long as you delete it via the zune program > device.

Theres another program and/or hack to remove and insert songs on the zune like a usb without the zune prog, search zsuite or "zune reg song hack" or something similar

Please don't try it. It will cause a hell of a lot of problems.
